Made a little bracket to hold my dipstick tube to the header. The manifold heat shield had a little corner where the top part of the dipstick would bolt to it with a small screw, while the lower half bolted to the block. Why? I have no f*ckin idea. Maybe I can just get a piece of brake line, cut it to fit, and shove it in there...
TA sells a dipstick tube for use with headers, but it read half a quart low when I last used one. Ain't paying $60 for something that isn't accurate.

Also drove it for about 100 miles. Runs good. Better oil pressure than the last lol.

What hood do you have on the car?

i don’t have one on there yet. Previous owner did shitty job cutting the hood for the scoop so I just threw it out. I’m looking to get a cowl hood soon

Did some more wire making, started to sort how I'd like to see the spark plug wires ran, did an inventory check on some of the other parts. Finally got my answer of amp ratings of the 16 gauge fusible link, 20 amps. So my plan to use my maxi fuse box (that I just found out it's out of a '90's 88) won't fly since I have yet to find a 20 amp maxi. I'll have to plan out splices or still run the second positive cable to a junction block so I can have the links in a easy access spot running certain wires off it with a 40 amp maxi for the blower fan.

We-ell, just happen to have a copy of the Hurst catalogue with all the models and related parts and kits that they used to offer. That is how I came to own two different shaped sticks. I do also happen to have one that came from a Dodge D100 Miser from the 80's that is both taller and curved to fit a bench. (Think I also still have all the bits to hang a Hurst off a Dodge/Chryco four speed, plus the 4-spd too, if anyone has a non G-Body project. the t-mission is a mutt, with a combination of aluminum and cast steel case parts--no clue on the ratios)

If I can put together more than a minute at a time at some point it could be worth a look. Do have to say that the flat body sticks have always been my favorites.

Went by my local paint supplier and picked up some more high build, and a can of custom mix for the spoiler. The can is SEM, but the paint inside is PPG shopline so it should spray out nice. They'll have the right 2k clear in Friday hopefully.
I came home, did some more sanding, another small skim of glaze in a few spots, then re primed with gray this time. Glad I did since it shows flaws easier, but getting better....
