What’s up guys I’m having this issues with my 86 regal v6 engine 231
Turns on fine I can rev it no problem once I start to drive I can put the pedal to the floor and the car is barely moving any suggestions or where to start ?
Any advice would be appreciated as I still can’t find an honest mechanic around my area anaheim ca

Where are the RPMs at when your tying to drive and its not going?
It doesn’t have rpm gauges so I wouldn’t be sure to be honest. It’s done this before I let go of the gas pedal and start accelerating again and it will drive fine today that didn’t help at all even with the gas pedal to the floor the car wasn’t moving just made like a popping noise

I'd say your trans is most likely blown.

Have you checked to see if there's any fluid in it?
Actually no I haven’t and since I really don’t car much last I checked it was fine
I start to drive and it feels as if I were going and stopping likes it bogging out

Agreed. Check out the trans fluid. what color it is, what's it smell like, etc.. you don't need a tach to know what the RPMS are doing, does it sound like its racing to the moon and your going no where?
No not at all transmission oil is new actually replaced trans pan gasket mechanic said it looks good
And no it didn’t feel like if I were racing to moon Lol it actually felt like if I lost power the more the pedal was to the floor no noise except a few pops sounds tords the end when releasing gas pedal and then holding it to the floor
