Use wet bread instead... and give yourself a yeast infection
Yup, wet paper towels, too. The last one was a bushing. What finally got it out was a huge bolt that threaded in until it bottomed out, then it walked out on the threads. Probably won't work so good on a bearing. I'm hoping I won't have to replace the bearing on the new engine. It might get ugly.

It sounds so easy, yet I've never been able to make it happen. You just end up with your crank hole full of crap.....

wait? wut?
I just ended up with a face full of grease last time I tried.

Can't on this, oil plug in the back of the crankshaft.

Why would you put your face "right there"?

New puller came yesterday. Got a chance to use it today. You can tell how my day went.

Decided it can't be stuck if it's a liquid. I win.

I was able to keep it pretty cool. Cut, doused with water, repeated until it was out. I was able to put my hand on the crank right afterwards. I'd say it was only 100° or so.
