Ive been using Permatex Right Stuff. A friend of mine told me about it and thats all Ive been using since. So far its been great.
I use Permatex Ultra Black on EVERYTHING!!! NO leaks!
This. But I like GM reusable trans gaskets with no sealant. Not sure if that's an option for this older stuff though.
I also use Permatex Ultra Black on most stuff, but I use non setting Universal Blue Hylomar on transmission gaskets if needed and it also worked well sealing my vacuum pump on the Monte.
