BUICK 1964 Skylark Coupe Project

It is insanely hot and humid today but I did get the rear filler panel glued in today. Had my dad help me set it in place to avoid getting glue everywhere. Would've liked to have had a few more clamps but I made it work. It took about a half hour to get in and I was a sweating mess by the time I was done. Time to sit in the A/C and relax for the rest of the holiday.

Got the glued seams cleaned up today and started to tack weld the front edge of the panel. It's looking pretty good.

Thanks, it's been my main focus as far as projects and I've been working on it whenever I can. The weather hasn't been the most cooperative but I'm trying to not let it get in the way.

A bit overdue for an update and unfortunately I don't have a whole lot to report. I do have the rear deck panel pretty much totally welded all the way across, but for the most part, it has been way too hot and humid to be working in garage, especially with autobody. I don't like to sweat all over fresh body work.

I do have a few days off coming up, so weather pending I'd really like to be working on the car, but we'll see what happens.

Weather today was perfect so I seized the opportunity to work on the car a bit. Had to play Tetris to move all the cars in the driveway around, but got the car rolled out, and did some sandblasting.

Focused most of my effort on the rear window frame, but I also did the outer drip rail section of the passenger side and the some of the inner window channel on the driver's side before I ran out of sand. I was able to remove paint no problem, but some of the deeper pits are really tough to get.

I did find/create a couple holes in the upper part of the rear window frame. Not sure how I'm gonna address them yet. I've fiberglassed much worse.
