Realized I haven't updated here in a while.... some of this may be repetitive, not sure....
So, I picked up a set of 4 NOS beauty rings for the wheels.
I've got a second set of four rally wheels that are on a frame carcass.
I got an original scale-rust free core support that has had the original paint wear off in many areas, and a spare set of front wheel wells in similar shape.
I'd like to have the core support powder coated, as well as the rims and wheelwells.
The piece de resistance so to speak comes from our December 30th finds:
1) Got a pair of NOS gm fenders, made in 1993. Better steel than earliest versions, but still have good body lines from the dies not being totally worn out. Made here, not overseas per the stickers. Not a singe ding,, pind, dent, or scratch into the edp coating either...
Those used fenders I talked about and tried rust eradicating between the seams are spares to throw together a winter 4x4 now, or maybe make a DD out of the '79.
2) Got a NOS gm dashpad, correct 73-78 non-vin cutout version in the correct original interior color, medium blue.
Mean to get pics of the nos goodies, just havent gotten to it between new years eve and day.
