glad you got it figured out! I know when my dad and myself were working cars I would always overtighten. I finally had to ask "hulk tight" or just "tight" ha once you get it figured out all goes well. Congrats on getting the car fixed, well done
Car looks phenominal, great job on it overall. Do you have a brake upgrade planned for it in the future? Something to help fill the space behind the wheels?
Just adding another opinion. The family had an 04 Imp SS for a few years and the supercharged 3.8 was an excellent match to the car. Drove it through a couple Iowa winters as well and rarely had any issues getting around. Personally I am a big fan of the Imp over the Monte of the same years...
Re: 1987 Olds Pro-touring project build *LONG*
Looks great, I can't tell by your sig pic, but will there be some sort of "Side skirt" or are you just lowering it from its current state?
Where are you taking the temp from? I originally had mine coming from the side of the block and it always read hot for me. Moved it to the top of the intake and I've had a more accurate reading since. Mine would say that it was 220+ but with the huge aluminum radiator I knew it couldn't be true...
I'll look up the details on mine more specifically later but I know i'm running a northern auto parts aluminium that basically as big as would still fit in the stock location with very little modifications. However I didn't get the great prices these guys did, mine ran around 470 when it was all...
I would agree with that. I coated my front bumper on my truck with a bedliner material thinking it would hold up. But it has started to rust through that as well. I would try the por-15 then bedliner as well.
