I had the same problem, mine was a bad ground. Try making a new ground, go to the battery negative terminal to test if needed.

Bronze wool is an excellent glass cleaner. Some people use 0000 steel wool, but rust can scratch glass.

Should be, green and black wires. Turn the ignition on, jump the terminals together and check your reverse lamps to be sure.
