When I rerouted my fuel line during the the swap I was able to get it in with out having to unbolt anything. It was a miserable experience. I can only imagine doing multiple lines.
Ok so I tore into to the car yesterday and this is what I found.
Good news it wasn’t leaking brake fluid. It was coolant from one of the hoses leading to the heater box, mixing with the oil from another leak that just happened to run onto the header tube that was touching the lines...
Thanks for the pic. My issue is definitely on the passenger side. I’m pretty sure it’s fine on the driver side as that header went it pretty easy. But at this point it’s worth a look to make sure the driver side has clearance as well. It just goes to show what happens when you don’t pay...
It could be the front. It was getting dark at this point and I really was just trying to get the damn thing started so I could pull it back into the garage. I’m actually hoping you’re right. I’d much rather run a line to the front right vs all the way to the rear.
so for the past 3 months I’ve really been looking forward to doing an autocross event with my regal. It seemed like a fun event. Even if the regal won’t be all that competitive. There’s an event coming up this Sunday I planned to attend.
So I pull out the car from the garage after work today...
This is probably the first gbody convertible conversion I’ve seen done that actually looks good. Most just don’t seem right.
Maybe because other then the convertible the car looks fairly normal. Usually you see them highly customized with crazy colors and huge rims.
pulling apart the climate control box to change out the heater core and had to remove this thing. It had a couple vacuum lines running to it.
I’ve swapped in a sbc 350 in place of the 3.8 so I don’t if it’s emissions related or for the climate control.
Definitely keep it going. I have entered my car on a couple of gbotm and haven’t won any of them. A thing that could be done I suppose to be more “inclusive” is just keep up the variety of entry types. This allows for veteran and novice gbody enthusiast to have an opportunity to win.
I would...
Fall is my favorite season for cruising. I did take the regal out again today. Pretty crappy day here though, lots of misting rain. So no time for pics. Gonna drive it a bunch to work this week to make up for list time.
I’m running 235 60 15 all the way around. I’ve had some minor rubbing issues in the front but only when the suspension is compressed and turning a good deal. But my car is lowered so that may make the difference. I’ve heard 255s fit in the rear but I can’t speak from experience.
For the...
I was getting that wild idle issue fixed. Turns out it was timing. I wasn’t in a rush to get it back anyways. The garage was filled with crap for a yard sale.
