Hey guys! The light wallet times seem to be fading slightly, so it is time to get back on my Malibu project. One thing that i've been trying to track down is the tailgate latch for the glass...when I bought the car, someone had broken into it through the rear glass and it apparently damaged...

There is no tension because the spring is missing - anybody know where I can get a replacement?

Here are a couple photos that show the latch - When I took the rear panel off, I found glass - so it has been broken into previously which I suspect is why I have issues with the latch now.

Yeah, I am already using an Optima battery, so that wouldn't be an issue. This is only going to be an occasional cruiser so was thinking about dropping the spare for a can of fix a flat. I was hoping to clean up the engine bay, which is why I got thinking about this initially.

I am planning to relocate my battery to the spare tire area and was curious if anyone else has moved their battery to this spot? Any photos?
