    WTF, Rockauto!

I'm surely in the hundreds of rockauto orders over the last few years. Never once have they sent me the wrong parts. They send what you buy is my experience.

Really "Adulting 101" is real class????

I don't think we should condemn kids for not knowing some of these skills. Most of their parents are equally clueless about vehicle maintenance, how are they supposed to pass down any real useful advice? Is it sad? perhaps but it's hardly surprising. Youtube is a hell of a tool. If a person...

    Who else hates CUV's?

Someone is living in the ice age. I'm not a crossover guy either but there are some pretty large vehicles w/o a full frame. The Durango and Pilot for example. and hell, where is it in the definition? SUV = Sport Utility Vehicle. Full-frame being no part of that equation

Craigslist to start charging $5 for car ads

Up here in MA the classifieds are a ghost town. I sure hope CL reconsiders charging for owner listings because I fear this resource could be dying otherwise

Motor wont run unless timming is advanced help!

Personally, I wouldn't dive into air/fuel mixture until I know 100% that the timing marks on the balancer are accurate then I've timed the engine to the spec before top dead center is (10 degrees or whatever it is). Get the engine on the compression stroke and then put a long screw driver down...

Motor wont run unless timming is advanced help!

Did you confirm the balancer 0 degrees of timing indeed lines up with true top dead center of cylinder 1? What did you set distributor timing to? Non-vacuum advance distributor, right? (if so I believe you should unplug the computer control prior to setting timing) That's totally off my memory...

    Dieseling...Any tips?

If you suspect it is indeed carbon build up -- a run of GM top engine cleaner prior to an oil change might be a good move. It burns off a lot of carbon in a smelly, smokey process. I've done it in the past with success

    Advice for GOOD tires

In my experience Michelin tends to be the best from a handling and tread life perspective. You pay for 'em but it's hard to deny how good michelin is compared to the run-of-the-mill manufacturers. A pretty close second for me is Continental tires, these tend to be the best bang for your buck...

Can anyone give me any reason to keep a hot air turbo engine over a LS?

Build it how you want it. Middle fingers to the people that say otherwise. Maybe I'm wrong but I don't think the LS swaps will get dated. A great carb'd build is still nice today. The quality of the build lies with the attention to detail of the person doing it.

Door dinging idiots.... GRRRRRRRRRR I'm sure i'm not alone!?

I don't care what I'm driving -- it drives me nuts when people park in the adjacent parking spot when there's hundreds of open spots available that are near nobody. I tend to park towards the back end of the lot so it's even more head scratching when someone parks right next to you when thats...

    GET OFF MY LAWN!!!!

I don't do email for craigslist sales -- the "bar", so to speak, for people to reach out is too easy. an email is cheap. I only accept call/text and I figure that filters out 60% of the bull. Out of the remaining 40% there is still plenty of crap, but at least I'm dealing with less of it...

    AC Delco Brake Pad Fitment

At least from my limited scope, I have had problems specifically with their brake parts. 2 out of the last 4 sets of front rotors I've bought have warped fairly quickly. Pads fit like total crap prior to grinding down the pad tabs. Every other part I've used (whether its a blower motor, water...

    AC Delco Brake Pad Fitment

This is a more general post and not directly related to gbodies but wanted to hear some feedback from the outside world. I've done numerous brake jobs on family vehicles over the last few years (2000+ GM H body, 2004+ GM W body) and 9 times out of 10 I order a set of AC Delco professional line...
