Big Block '82 Malibu wagon thrash

Well, it has been coming for a while. Since the rear windows don't roll down in the G body wagons, it is going to fall out of favor. When towing or at the races with a carful, it's not all that fun being trapped in the back. I've placed the car for sale in the past, but since I'm buried in it, I...

    Anyone watch HR Magazine's "Roadkill"?

Here's a couple shots. Finnie sent the Blower up to our house, no signature required, LOL! I come home and there are a bunch of boxes in the driveway. sh*t, if anyone knew what was in them! We proceded to do the mock-up and get it semi figured out, so it wouldn't be a complete fiasco at...

    Anyone watch HR Magazine's "Roadkill"?

We did the Rotsun and the Draguar with Roadkill. Lots of fun. crazy work. It's nice to be able to thrash and not worry about scratching. The Backstory on these two cars and their history would make a great short story LOL. I've got pics of the draguar somewhere... So, yeah. We watch Roadkill...

BBC in a 79' wagon, how hard?

Look up the 82 Malibu Wagon thrash. I documented much of what I did. I fabricated a lot, so depending on your skill and tooling it isn't tough.

    hello fellow wagon lovers

I did that same thing over the last couple years. Have a look at what it takes if you don't want to pay someone to do it. The 82 Malibu thrash thread. Cheers, Matt

    LS Engine Crankshaft Balancer

Standard thread. Interference fit, you need a puller. Also, torque to yield bolt. One time use. But an ARP replacement. Use an installation tool for reassembly. They are not keyed, except in supercharger applications.

Big Block '82 Malibu wagon thrash

Well, after driving 13,500 miles making several round trips, we have landed in Arizona. The wagon did well, and it was and still is on the chopping block, but in the interim, I ran across an abandoned project car and bought it. Soooo, the wagon is getting upgrades like I NEVER would have spent...

Big Block '82 Malibu wagon thrash

Has been a Crazy couple months. We decided to move away from the cold/wet. Packed up and came down to the Phoenix area. I'll post up some pics soon of the new shack. I still have the '82, it's on a 17K test drive LOL. Made it down here towing the Habit with not too much issue, other than some...

    Projects from THE COMPOUND

Awesome! I have a large waste oil heater here at the shop. You can use non insulated pipe, it will get hot, and you will need to get an insulated transition where it goes through the roof. You can't beat the BTU's!

Big Block '82 Malibu wagon thrash

God, I forgot ALL ABOUT Portland! That IS a good time!...and Lord knows I'm all about that! I'll rent a stall! I should drag it down behind the Burb on my trailer or have a friend follow. I really like driving that wagon. Thanks for the compliments, I didn't go cheap on anything. The Burb, I...

Big Block '82 Malibu wagon thrash

I was surprised how fast the Steppers go in. I just hooked up my Solus to verify calibration and pushed the needles back on. The Jag in the back is our 96 4.0 VandenPlas. We've had it since 2000. It's super nice, so when the engine expires, it gets an LS with a 4l65E. So far, it still runs...

Big Block '82 Malibu wagon thrash

Jeez! Once again, it's been a long while...and as always, a LOT has transpired. The ugly wagon, my '77 Malibu that I adored was less than cooly welcomed to the fleet. I could even easily go as far say to say it wasn't welcomed at all, this despite the factory tach, gauge pack, posi, full power...

    From Ringer

I haven't had a car with this much patina, or as others would say, Paint Fade. It has a few door dings. The car is pretty original and I'm thinking I'm going to embrace the rat culture and upgrade the suspension, Tire/Wheel combo, OD the trans, dual exhaust, bumpin tunes and drive it. It will be...

Well, we took home the 8 second class wins from CDBA and NJBA so race season is officially over. Now we have to concentrate on fixing what we neglected during racing, gotta make some money and prep for next year. The biggest complaint I get from the immediate family is the lack of opening...

    LT1 pros and cons

Are you talking the Optispark LT-1 or the way earlier LT-1? Like 1970. If you are talking the late one, the only drawback is the distributor placement. If the water pump leaks, it leaks on the dizzy and screws you at the most inopportune moment possible. The later dizzys have weep holes to let...

Picked up the dark blue door panels, pillars, and other misc. wagon interior parts. Shipped, packaged really nice. All parts were as advertised. Good seller, very happy as good wagon interior parts are getting hard to find. Thank You- Matt
