Glad to see this thread didn't lock or anything. As always, life got in the way of the project. Only been able to do some sanding here and there between fixing my truck, my friend's cars, blah blah. But great news! I had almost given up hope finding the quarter panel I need when my buddy sent me...
Did some more sanding but it was way too swampy and humid to stay out in the shop all day. Got the entire roof done. Any progress is good progress.. lol. Spent the rest of the day helping my old man fix his John Deere 318 in his much nicer shaded garage.
I helped a friend install the FiTech onto his 85 Trans Am. It pretty much bolts right into place where the old one did and you slide the linkage on the same way. There's really only a few wires it needs hooked up if you've got HEI. It was simple. I'd recommend going with an in-tank fuel pump...
Yikes! Been a couple busy months. My buddy was deployed to Kuwait who owns the garage where my car is stored. He'll be back in December and I have access to it but work has been insane. Today though another friend and I went in there to "get a victory" and do something to motivate us. I've had...
First truly beautiful day of the season and I spent it giving the daily some love. My buddy was on his one weekend a month National Guard duty so his house wasn't an option. No big deal! "Cherry Pie" got some love in the form of brake rotors, ceramic pads, plugs, wires, cap, and rotor. Gotta...
After a few weeks of crappy weather(kinda tired of snow now) we got out there this weekend and got some done.
This was the only pic I got before Rum O'Clock but we did the side waiting on a quarter and half the roof. Knocked it down to bare metal and primed it. Back window will also need to...
Today was a cleanup day in the shop because.. damn. By the time we were ready to start cranking away at some sanding mother nature told us to politely get the hell out of the shop and dumped snow all over us. Really disappointing because man, we're getting there! Did however finally check out...
On my 79 I lucked out and got the "buddy price" for a nice custom dual exhaust at a friend's shop. Can't beat that buddy price! I love it and I hope to slap some headers on because the factory logs suck. Then it'll be perfect.
Finally the quarter panel is out! Took last weekend off for the Eagles victory I knew was coming.:mrgreen:
I'm so happy that underneath is completely clean. I was so afraid of what might be lurking underneath from years of it rusting in that area. Next weekend's plan is to clean up...
Haha super slammed! That's why I went with adjustable coil overs. Doing body work before I install them but I hope for a much better experience overall instead of just springs. lol
....I love 78 - 80 Salons. I think they're weird and super cool. I'd love to own one but they seem impossible to find. I also added this picture to my wallpaper collection on my computer. Beautiful cars!
