I will be there again this year, unfortunately my 442 is still in pieces... but I will have my "other g-body" Chrysler Laser. We plant ourselves by the Hamline Dining hall, a block west of the main gate. Gonna be a few GM G-body there, they just havent joins up here yet!

IMHO, I'd get the 442 and to the T56 swap! Even a 307 will be a fun DD with a manual, use a hurst shifter and and old school 4spd ball! The H/O should have lighning rods and should stay that way.... Just my .02! You will have a nice ride which ever road you choose!

Really nice starting point! I have a factory '78 salon 442 and an 87 442... both cars have gone on the back burner to concentrate on my sons 81 'bu... let me know if you want pics and mesurments for stripes and decals....

Mine held up well behind my mild olds 350, had the stock 1600 (?) Stall converter,and a large B&M super cooler. It was sloppy with 165, 000 miles on it at the time of the swap. I agree with every one else, upgrade the hard parts, also check the shift kit contents to see if it includes the boost...
