I drug out a parts bike 1983 Kawasaki GPZ 305 to get running. It was missing lots of stuff so I took it off another parts bike with bad engine. I took the carbs apart and cleaned them. It fired up so quickly it scared me. This bike has less miles than the one I'm restoring so probably use this...
So I was bored and went for another drive in the Regal. Another long video of talking about different things. If anything, there's a good stop to rolling burnout at 20.26. I nice 2-3 scratch while on it at around 17.
So a break down of the car is in order if you have not been following along. 1980 Regal bolted onto a complete rust and accident free 1987 SS Monte Carlo chassis. 3.73 posi rear, SS Monte CZ coded 2004R trans. New wheel cylinders, brake shoes, axle seals and pinion seal. New ball joints, a arm...
Decided to go ahead and sell this Regal for $2500. Some may think it's too high but you couldn't build it for that. I have a 55 Belair 4 door found. It was driven into a shop in the mid 90s and left. I have ton's of extra 55 parts here.
After swimming in transmission fluid on my back and under the car, I'm pleased to report NO MORE 2-3 upshift flare. No wide open throttle hits cause I want to put some miles on the self rebuilt trans first. I did take the car back out after I did the video because I forgot to check the...
I've went back over my book from CK. He says that if you're making more than 250hp, a must is to enlarge separator plate 2-3 shift hole to .140
In the Transgo instructions it says .093 for mild or .110 for wild
I'm going to go .140 and drill case to dual feed 3rd clutch.
This in theory...
It's cold this morning and cloudy. I got the valve body dropped out. I put the pan back on so it could drip drain out into it. A very messy job with fluid running down your arm into clothing. I'm done with it today. Maybe tomorrow drill it and put it back together
This is very possible. Shift kit wants you to grind land flush on boost valve. It was already done. Also holes were enlarged. For sure someones been in it
