it does close, but i have the grand national "bump" on my hood with the bracing cut out in that area or else it probably wouldn't clear. That is the stock truck intake.
So over the winter I have switched over to efi, swap specialties did my harness and pcm. Got it fired on the weekend first shot without issue. Switched to a fuel cell as well.
100% agree I've had my malibu for 4 years and was born in 87. I was specifically after a g body as it was nostalgic for me as my parents had a few of them growing up.
I've noticed hagerty values and appraisals for our cars have dramatically increased over the past year. Mine (80 malibu) went from 8,000 to 10,000 (cdn including tax) in the pat year and my father inlaws 84 el camino was appraised for $15,400 5 years ago and was $19,800 this year.
check to see if all the lines to your charcoal canister are in good shape. there is a vent line from the tank along the drivers side going to the canister
The spohn and holley mounts (as well as other kits) require you to use their crossmember, which means it is going to move the transmission so you would have to shorten or lengthen the drive shaft depending on the position
its all depends on which mounts, pan you use. if you use a 1" setback mount everything will stay the same. I used them and my th350 stayed in the same spot.
Thanks it is a blast. Its a th350, will be putting a 5spd or t56 etc.. In over the winter already have the pedals.
