Some years ago here in California there was an idea for a network of stations something like that, but for fuel cell vehicles, to swap in fresh hydrogen canisters. Those stations never got built, fuel cell never caught on.

People formed bonds with individual horses, as people did and still do with individual ICE vehicles. People form bonds with the EV concept, and with the Tesla brand, but not many form bonds with individual EVs. Many EV fans don't even own one, they lease. Even the most ardent EV fans consider...

Funny you mention Mouser. I found genuine Packard ring terminals at Mouser, the big 3/4" flat kind. They call the brand something else now. (Aptiv?) But same outfit, and I literally could not find them anywhere else. Mouser had them by the spool.

Rolling in profits as far as the eye can see. As yet, no one has produced viable full-scale alternatives to fossil fuels.

Recycle? What's that? People don't replace EV batteries. Saw an article just the other day, weeds engulfing fields full of dead EVs in China, can't even scrap them all. Where do they go here?

I'm in CA so this got my attention. It won't be street legal with the 400. Will it need inspection where you are?

84-87 turbo Regals had spacers, due to rubber insulator strips wrapped around between the tank and straps, due to the in-tank fuel pump. The spacers seemed a bit longer than necessary just for the rubber strips, though. I used spacers because I could never get the straps bolted up otherwise...
