    How to sew/ rebuild visors?

Craigslist and ebay should serve you well. I always see sewing machines on there (industrial and home) for less than $200.

New weatherstrip, will it fit better?

My driver's side door has a little (1/8") sag that I'll shim up at some point. I do have the Fisher Body Manual that gives all the window adjustments and they're about as good as I can get them. I'll try the vaseline thing, though.

New weatherstrip, will it fit better?

Just replaced all the rubber on my doors (roof rail, door strip, inner and outer window sweeps) with Metro and Steele products. Now the door is a lot harder to close and the windows won't go all the way up unless I open the door - they bind on the rubber. Will the new rubber compress any over...

    Garden hose coolant flush

I want to flush the cooling system but the tap water here is really hard. If I do the garden hose flush method, how do I get all that water out of the block?

    2004r wiki edit?

I'm not sure what you're complaining about... Other than a different crossmember, the 200-4R is a direct drop-in replacement for the 350. I just did it for mine a couple months ago and the dual pattern bellhousing and not having to alter my driveshaft were big factors.

Overheating - where to look for problems first?

I replaced the thermostat about 8 months ago. I plan on draining the coolant when I work on the heater so I'll check for corrosion then. I'm also planning on pulling A/C radiator-condensor since I don't have A/C on the car any more. That might help airflow across the radiator.

Overheating - where to look for problems first?

I drove my Regal from California to Missouri a couple weeks ago. On the way, there are two mountain ranges to climb over, often at 6% grade. After climbing 7000 feet to Flagstaff, I stopped for gas and saw that my overflow tank was overflowing. I pulled out my thermometer and the coolant in...

    OEM style sound deadener/waterproofing?

Anyone know where you can get OEM style sound deadening material and the waterproof brown paper for the door panels? All the summit/jegs/etc seem to carry are the expensive Dynamat stuff.

    200-r4 ???????

200-4R is the same length as the 350. The 700R4 needs the driveshaft shortened.

Doesn't seem to be much point on the upright rear window that a G-body has.

    help fast! transmission issues

There's an electrical plug on the side of the transmission. Just unplug it and the converter won't lock.

    help fast! transmission issues

I think the signal comes from the transmission to the converter directly.

    help fast! transmission issues

You can run a non-locking converter on your transmission, but the lockup mechanism is not computer controlled.

    speedo doesnt work

Damn, you were right about being 110% sure. I was 90% sure I had a 10 tooth drive gear and it turns out I have a 13 tooth drive gear. Which would require a (nonexistent) 36 tooth driven gear. So I have to change the drive gear anyway. After it only took 10 minutes to swap the driven gear, I...

Attaching trim tightly but not permanently

I got my headlight bezels stolen back in November. Damn things are expensive and hard to find. Finally found replacements on eBay, getting them soon. I want to know if anyone knows of a way to affix these things to the car well enough so that someone can't just pull them off again, but not so...
