the reason I don't think that's the case is because the pump is "straight". I'll try what you said though, as a matter of fact, I'll remove the pump and I'll know for sure.
Agreed. I like G-Bodies. I absolutely deposit time and money into these vehicles and I'm not looking for anything in return but the happiness it brings to me when I solve an issue or take a cruise. Of course, it does make me happy when an older woman sees my car and says, "that's a beautiful...
Problem: Power steering belt is touching the alternator belt.
I have a 1986 Buick Regal w/ an Olds 350 (395558-2 late 70s variation with #8 heads).
My belt routing is as follows:
A/C, water pump, crank
Alternator, water pump
Power steering pump, water pump, crank
This setup appears to be...
It's interesting to me when people/companies use the word "upgrade," which means, to make something better. This isn't better, just different.
That aside, it's not for me at this price, but I do like more options for Gbodies.
That's odd. When I order something that shows that it'll be delivered in 1 or 2 days, it's delivered in 1 or 2 days. I think I could compile enough data from 5 women that would total over 5,000 orders in a year from the date they ordered something to the delivery date would be over 90% in 48 hours.
In this fictional world of me swapping an EV, I'm talking about Tesla Plaid or Lucid Air Sapphire types of power on a Schwartz chassis.
I'm open to any drivetrain in all types of G-Bodies. A 2JZ in a lowrider or electric motors in an 87 Aerocoupe. I want to see more G-Bodies on the street and...
I absolutely understand how this could go horribly wrong. I also understand, and have experienced, a technician at Goodyear forgetting to put oil in an engine and the engine blowing up on the freeway AND Goodyear having to fit the bill for GM to place a new engine in the vehicle at a dealership...
I'm with you, BUT, when it came to changing anything near that gosh awful heat/a/c box, it's horrible. Trying to do valve cover studs and header bolts was a pain.
I might be the slowest "car guy" in the world. It takes me 3x the amount of time it takes most G-Body guys to do simple task. I was outside for 3+ hours taking out this dash, a bunch of those minutes wasted looking for tools I could have sworn were somewhere that they weren't. Anyway, I got the...
Both.
350 doesn't mean anything to me. It could be a 200hp 350 or a 500hp 350 that you beat on all day. Radiator requirements will vary. The garden variety aluminum w/ shroud and electric fans will work for some folks.
I feel like I just looked through all 800 of your photos lol and didn't see a single G-body. I'm probably wrong though. I did see the lowriders in the first video.
I've looked around a few years ago and I don't think anyone sells them. There are a few dozen good videos on youtube though on how to make them yourself.
Regal (with Olds 350 engine) - Valve cover gaskets were/are leaking oil. I bought a stud kit, changed the gaskets and the bolts and ....I made a bigger mess than when I started. I don't think the gaskets were the perfect fit to start with and I'm getting really close to using some type of...
What's up guys. A guy at my job said that he had a Grand National rear end. When he brought it in, I used a few threads from here and the turbobuick website and I'm 99% sure this is a 7.625 out of a Monte Carlo SS (what looks like a 2TH stamp on the tube followed by a C), but I don't want to...
