That was me being a smart *ss. Efi is expensive unless you are starting with a car that had it or you got everything you need from the donor. Aftermarket efi is pretty pricey also, but it is getting more affordable. And everything from the tank to the pump to the fuel lines has to be taken into...
Its all good. Sorry for getting shitty. Sometimes it seems guys troll on the people doing Ls swaps on here. I try to give sound advice and not deter people. Everybody has reasons for doing what they do to their cars.
I built an LS for the heads and strong internals that can be found anywhere. No matter what I went with; Ls, sbc, bbc, bbo, sbo...,I would have went carb. You don't have to be a cheerleader for anything, dont have to be a hater either.
If you already have the LS then go for it. Just see what you need to do with the bellhousing and clutch to make it work. Or get a t56. There would be less headaches. Holley has everthing you need to do the swap.
Welcome to the site. Just throw your 250c up on craigslist. You would be suprised. Someone bought my th200 for a rat rod project along with the 3.8 v6.
$75 on Summit. I checked Speedway also, and I couldn't find one from Sweet mfg. that had a 1" DD to 1"DD listed on there, but it would have been in that ball park if they did. I have the Jeep shaft by the way, and manual steering, which also might magnify any play.
Late 80's-early 90's. I'm not really happy with mine. Too much play at the insulator between the telescoping shaft and u-joint. I just ordered a Borgeson u-joint to replace the upper one.
He called them daytons, thats as far as I know. They were definitely spoked wheels though. I doubt he still has them, and the car is parked in the yard at his dad's place.
