Wasn't today but Saturday, but just had time to post. Took it out to its first car show since 2019. Covid and life was getting in the way. After getting her road worthy again from sitting for far too long, here she is!
Thought these pics were cool. Got to take a couple pics with some of the...
You think I would be good to drive it about 20 miles total round trip to this show Saturday then do it? Tight on time and not sure I can get it done before the show Saturday. I had only replaced the drivers side..so that is the only incorrect one.
Ok I got 2 new ones now to compare side by side. Left one is 2382 and right is 2384.
This is what came out of my drivers side.
I right now have 2384 in the drivers side which I learned is supposed to be passenger side and 2382 should be driver side.
Seeing these...you guys think I should...
So went to pick up the mount today..and the incorrect mount was in the box. Smh. So to make this easier...does anyone have a picture of the V6 stock motor mounts so I can compare left to right? Also would it even be possible to install the wrong mount on that side. I have a car show Saturday so...
Thanks for the reply. I am picking up another passenger side mount today to compare to the driver side mount I have new and out of the vehicle to see the difference. No one locally has been able to tell me the difference. So I am gonna compare and see what they look like. I'll post pics this...
Just replaced my drivers side motor mount. I had both driver and passenger new. It went it without a real hitch and bolted right up. Now I am questioning if I put the correct mount in. They are for a 1985 Cutlass V6, 3.8. I put in Oriely Auto Parts B2384 which shows as OE front right. But I put...
There are a few magazines that I subscribed too...that I will no longer renew after the current subscription ends. They all seem to be playing the, raise the cost, produce and send less by going bi-monthly or quarterly and cut the actual content by filling w ads. I was livid when one did that to...
After having to buy a new battery today as mine took a dump due to not being on a maintainer and parked for a bit...would like to pick one up. What you guys recommend. I have a great Schumacher charger...but no maintainer lol.
Is the Battery Tender Junior decent?
Evening guys. Looking for a fairly foolproof way to change/flush my coolant on my 85 Cutty with 3.8 V6. I have seen several different ways. What do you all prefer and is there a way to do it without a evac/refill system? Thanks!
Looking for a good lasting engine mounts. I have gone through a couple sets of the oem style rubber mounts. Looking for my 1985 Cutlass with a 3.8 for an engine. If you could post links of your recommendations, that would be much appreciated. Thanks fellas!
Your best bet is to run 1 or 1.5 inch extended upper a arms. This is a VERY easy fix. You will then set your camber adjustment with shims at your chosen ride height.
Extended uppers really is a bolt on fix. You can find raw ones for not too much, that is if you dont want chrome, then you can...
This dude mumbles through the video..but this is the easiest way to get em in. Make a lil tool out of pipe to hook the end. They will be under tension as you try to lock them in so be careful. That is what causes the lid to stay up. You can also use a bottle jack..but with your setup in the...
Ok I am betting when you put it up on three...the top of the cylinder made contact and popped it out of its location. Give me a min and Ill see if I can find a video.
What you running for set up for your juice? I am thinking about going to telescopics, upper drop downs and a slip yoke. You have...
Nice three wheel stance in your pic!! I also have an 85 Cutty.
Regarding your trunk not staying open, its the torsion bars at the back of the trunk that help hold it open, which I am sure you are aware. People like us with juiced rides tend to have issues with our rear cylinders hitting them...
