Anyone owns a porter cable 7424XP

I have 6" pads, basically what I keep running into is the backings has no threads and I sometimes return them. There is a harbor freight within walking distance, I'll check to see what they have before I buy one online again.

Anyone owns a porter cable 7424XP

I have been buying stuff from amazon without success. I want to use this product instead of waxing by hand. I just recently bought a pad with velcro backing and again, it is not compatible despite saying that it is. I am just frustrated that I cannot find solutions from internet and local stores.

What liberties do I have with the E-Rod engine?

Hey, I finally understand what some of you we're telling me the whole time about modifying the erod. So... yea, I feel a little bummed about that. On the bright side, the end result should be better than what I have now, A 355 with advertised 375hp (dyno shows 426hp @5800rpm) with a th350 and...

What liberties do I have with the E-Rod engine?

I could not modify the e-rod even if it has a CARB EO number? If I were to have a 2010 camaro ss and install the parts that have the EO's on them, would that be ok, would that also be ok for the e-rod or is it when I install the engine I agree not to touch it beyond that point of installation?

What liberties do I have with the E-Rod engine?

Hey, I got another question about the swap, do I need to rewire the car? (With this: https://www.summitracing.com/int/parts/prf-10201/overview/)

What liberties do I have with the E-Rod engine?

I learned from a youtube video about a shop in Colorado claims they have a camshaft that they sell. The guy made a comment that they did sell a couple of these to CA customers. I am going to contact the shop and get some further details.

What liberties do I have with the E-Rod engine?

Thanks for the info, I'll set up a budget for the swap. I hope I can do this before I have to move to one of these states. I have a question about the steering column, I am planning to convert to manual, do I need to modify it or change it out? Never touched a steering column before.

What liberties do I have with the E-Rod engine?

Finding anything with a CARB number is pretty hard, I could find anything on the CARB aftermarket database on camshafts. I found a couple of things, I'll put the links below. https://www.summitracing.com/parts/tfs-3261t002-c01 https://www.summitracing.com/parts/mps-011058065bl

What liberties do I have with the E-Rod engine?

Basically, if I have read it correctly, if all of the emission stuff installed with the kit, I'll go right on ahead with installing any cam of choice (lets say for fun, get the polluter) and if it doesn't pass the sniffer a few times, just pay $200 every year or two. But I'll have to wait and...

What liberties do I have with the E-Rod engine?

Hey, I am having a dilemma about my El Camino. See I am currently set on a carrier path that will take me most likely in California, if not Washington. My El Camino set up will not pass. I learned before I set off to do the efi conversion that I was planning that the 30 sunset exemption that...

    Contemplating about EFI conversion

Thanks for the information guys, I will have some thinking to do. Gonna do some more homework on this before I do anything serious (maybe except redoing the wiring). My goal with my El Camino is to "refine" it for highway cruising. I don't have any plans racing it, if anything a pass or two...

    Contemplating about EFI conversion

I plan on making about the same horsepower I am currently making (the dyno sheet shows 426 hp @5400rpm and 446 ft.lbs @4100 rpm off the flywheel, I maybe outputting probably around 320 - 350 (assuming 17% - 25% loss)). This car I really don't plan on blowing, installing turbo, nitrous or...

    Contemplating about EFI conversion

I downloaded the instructions for the terminator, I will be going over this in time. If I have to upgrade my ignition and wiring, I'll be doing that first before the EFI conversion happens. Will this distributor work? http://www.summitracing.com/parts/fst-305005 As far as shopping ignition...

    Contemplating about EFI conversion

Thanks for the information! I got two questions regarding what you stated. - I have no experience with car wiring, I don't know what I should get, what would you recommend. - What should I do with my distributor? Could a upgrade kit help with noise?

    Contemplating about EFI conversion

I have been scouring through forums and reviews of efi kits like the ez 2.0, msd's atomic, and edelbrock likewise. I haven never really done anything with efi before, so I will be taking in things really slowly. Here's the power plant: http://www.summitracing.com/parts/mll-bp35512ctc1 I have...

    Need Headers for 78' Elco

@lilbowtie, with the Schoenfeld (186-3?) was there anything you had to do to get them to fit? I think the heads on mine are a little bit wider which is why I am having issues with many different sets.

    Need Headers for 78' Elco

I left out some details that would help, the heads are vortec http://www.summitracing.com/parts/mll-h8002k, they are ab it wider, the exhuast ports are standard, but I have tried some headers that are supposed to fit the year and model, some where tried to fit and some just straight up were not...

    New dude not named ben

To introduce myself, I am a owner of a 1978 "GMC Caballero" that is currently going through a engine swap. I've had it since august of 2004. The Car came equip with a 1968 327 (probably from a Camaro that at some point was ripped out of a jeep in a junkyard, according to the previous owner...

    Need Headers for 78' Elco

I would like to know what set of headers (LT or shorties, don't really care) I went through 4 different sets of headers and had no such luck, 2 of them I called the manufacture to verify that it is applicable for a el camino that year. The engine is a 355 from blueprint and if this helps, I have...
