Thank you for your input and I do like your gauge cluster. still considering what to do. if it were possible to get around the printed circuit on the gauge pod replacing both gauges would be the best thing I think , but thinking sometime things start to smoke. and for me thinking is exhausting...

I have replaced the light pod with a gauge pod . I have changed the temp. sender and oil pressure sender . I am thinking that the voltmeter is bad in the gauge pod it never worked . the oil pressure gauge worked once. Today I attempted test the voltmeter I think perhaps it bad . I have located...

I have the vehicle speed sensor ( vss ) I just can't find the connectors that it connects to. If someone has a picture of the connectors ,then perhaps then I can find them .

I can't find the connection under the dash for my vehicle speed sensor on my 86 GP . I know the top-side attaches to the speedometer

I do think that GM could have done better Job with their truck I have 2011 GMC 1500 that started rusty with no physical damage and now the paint is peeling on the windshield after they repair the rust on the drip rail. poor craft man ship and a pee poor repair .

I notice the carpet as well and the back seat that no one has sat in has some lose material in the cover.
