Hey guys I work in Brooklyn. There's a shop on Utica avenue. 2046 Utica to be exact.guys name is Charlie he does engine swaps. In fact I took my car to him when I was contemplating doing mine. He's straight honest maybe you can look him up
The steering wheel is a t-type wheel I just recovered it. In fact I wasn't happy with the way it turned out so I did it over. I took the old leather off and covered it in vinyl wrapped it like a baseball bat
So after I installed the b&m shifter. Was looking to upgrade the handle. I wanted to go with a leather wrapped one but couldn't find one so I decided to wrap mine. Just took an old leather glove and used that. I like the way the b&m logo stands out
How could I install a center console without cutting the passenger seat? there would be no space in the middle.the whole setup cost me the price of the shifter plus the material for the console which was about $30 a couple of days of my time
So I finally got my shifter installed. Decided to try and build a center console. Wanted it to look stock I was able to integrate the console shifter cover I got with the b&m so it fits flush with my console. I used 1/4inch plywood for the sides I used 1/2 stripping for support then covered it...
Just pick up these anchor covers for my bucket seat conversion was planning on just cutting the ones I have to length and fitting them into the covers but I wasn't sure if the length these are 6 1/2 inches from the hole to the edge
The only problem I have is when I put it in park the column indicator doesn't get all the way over so I have to move it with my hand in order to get the key out. Every other gear is dead on
Actually I removed the selector arm from the column so can only shift from the floor shifter the column still moves to mimic the floor shifter and all the gears catch correctly
Ok so installed the shifter however I didn't remove the old linkage left it attached so my nuetral safety switch and back up lights will work. This way I don't have to run any wires to the new shifter. Is this correct?
So know that I have my bucket seats I'm going to attempt installing the shifter. My transmission is the 3speed.however I see the the shifter has provisions for a 4speed as well. The question is if I install it with my existing transmission will I be able to change it over to the 4speed function when...
