    Crazy shaking

Thanks. On the bright side though, almost all of the rotating parts on the car have been replaced now. Luckily those drums had a two year warranty and return period, so it didn't cost me any more to actually fix it

    Crazy shaking

So after roughly 500 dollars spent on random parts, six different axle shafts, i finally figured it out. The shaking was caused by a shitty AutoZone brake drum that was casted out of round.

    bouncy bouncy hood

Does your hood sit flush while parked? My car does the same thing, but the passenger front corner is up just a little and no amount of adjusting panels has made any difference.

    Crazy shaking

thanks, I think it will probably sit until I find a posi for it

    Crazy shaking

It seems like it probably is the axle shaft(s), I just don't know what would have caused it to bend

    Crazy shaking

it does it with any wheels I have on it

    Crazy shaking

I had a bent shaft over the summer, and replaced it with a good one. both wheels rolled straight and true after that but not lately. I'm trying to get my hands on a ss parts car, I'm probably taking the rear from it.

    Crazy shaking

I drive a 1986 MC sport coupe, 4.3, th350. When I drive at low speeds, it feels like I'm driving over small bumps, but when I go past 45, it shakes so bad that I don't want to drive it anymore. I have put the car up on jack stands and put it in gear, and when the rear wheels turn, they seem to...

Any interest in a 3800 series 2 build

If you get a 3.8 engine from a late model f body (96-02) you dont need to bother with custom mounts or adapters, and those make more power from the factory than say, a 3800 from a park avenue. Get a supercharger from a rivera or something and youre in business. Those engines have tons of low...

    Where is the new blood?

Im 18 and see this firsthand. Whenever i go to shows, im the only one of my generation. Most kids just want to sit on the internet and do things that dont matter, and those that are into cars are into junk (civics, celicas, jettas). its a problem

    Help with bucket seats

There should be 4 in the rear and 2 in the front. As far as the wire goes, I'll have to see how it's currently set up. Post pictures of everything you've got so I can show you exactly what goes where

    No power without key

Okay guys, I'm stumped. My car has absolutely no power without the key in and turned forward. No courtesy lights, no cig lighter, no exterior lights, nothing. All of these things work when the car is on or the key is forward. I also have no radio memory every time I start it. Anybody have this...

    Budget lowering

Okay, I have some stiff v8 cutlass springs I will cut. Regardless of handling or ride quality, the car is going to get lowered

    Budget lowering

I don't really care about the ride quality all that much, I'm just trying to change the look of the car. I won't be using spindles. I just want to take out the springs, cut them, and put them back in. Probably going to replace the ball joints while I'm at it
  16. cincy86

    Budget lowering

I know that it is better to have drop spindles and lower it that way, but I don't have any money for that right now. One of my front coils is broken anyway so the car sits an inch higher on one side. I'm just trying to make sure I don't cut out too much. I don't see how it's unsafe though, I...

    Budget lowering

Hey guys, I have a 1986 v6 Monte. All suspension is stock. How much should I cut out of the front springs to lower it 2 inches? I will be using spring clamps for the rear.

    Fuel gauge ground

I didnt see it, ill look there again to be sure. However, i put another tie wrap around the connection for the sending unit to tighten it up, and the gauge works now, even though its only accurate when i put my foot down quick

    Fuel gauge ground

Is the ground connected to the clip that comes from the same wire loom that powers the taillights? I saw one black wire that comes off of that, and goes up to where the bottom of the trunk lid is on the drivers side.

    Fuel gauge ground

Cool I'm probably going to pull the tank tonight, hopefully that will fix it. Thanks for the help
