i would say see the block bare before finalising the deal.
I take it you mean the wristpin?
if so, if the wristpin has come in contact with the cylinder wall it could be damaged beond repair.
I would have to say it would propably be cheaper and easier to just get another block have it bored out and swap your parts over to it.
Also IMO have the deck milled down about 0.010" which will raise the compresion slightly, and make a better sealing surface for the head
I have a feeling that the problem is the oil pan.
If you have the headers and crossover i think you have, it is made for a STOCK setup. and at least from the outside of the motor the only thing you said was different is the oil pan.
What kind of heads do you have?

It has been done over the years by dealers, but only to order. (you buy the car, the motor, and pay the dealer to do it)
It was more popular back in the 70's but to this day if you walk into a dealer and tell them you want something special and if you have the cash they will do it.

as for the cable, the th350 uses a detent/kickdown cable, not a TV cable. And any detent from a th350 should work.

people talk smack about q-jets (aka quadrajunk, lol) because they have had so many hands on them that they blown way out a wack.
So just like a holley when its way off, they can be tricky to get back to where it should be set. and most people just dont understand all of the settings.
Also so...
i would keep the swaybar and adjust the preload in the airbags.
the swaybar is going to help with the "g-body twist" we all suffer from.
Remember that a straighter launch is usually a faster launch.
When your car is twisting it is losing some of the power that should be going to the wheels.
