My 2011 Silverado melted the fuse box. I never found the source. There must be a problem with these because there’s never one to be found at junkyard. Mines a 5.3
85 regal. Not the best before pictures. The last time it was registered was 2005. The original interior was really nice, so it ended up in a roller I bought. The original carbed na 3.8 ran perfect, so that also went into the roller.
You got the p0521 code with gauge at half? Mine is at zero, even after the previous owner changed the afm plate and sensor. Any ideas on what else to look for? I'm replacing the oring and pump next. Can you run it without the screen? The previous owner left the used screen in the glovebox.
I've had the little bar, the solid GN bar, and the 36mm f body bar. I prefer the bigger bar. I'm currently using the f body bar with bilsteins. I think it's a nice set up, I drive it daily in the summer. I haven't done control arms or tall ball joints yet.
Yes that is annoying. I meant nice in that there's a sharp cutoff, so I don't blind traffic. Its worth it for the high beams though. Can you adjust the rav 4 up a little bit?
Yes heat was a concern. The housing is some kind of fiberglass composite, and the lens is glass. The ballasts get pretty warm too. I got the second one installed this weekend. Wow, the high beams are intense. Also no one flashed their high beams at me. The low beam cut off is nice. They...
I ended up using some high temp fiberglass tape to seal the gaps. I was going to use fiberglass cloth and resin but it’s a really tight fit in the headlight bucket, I was afraid the fiberglass would be too much thickness. I painted the housing metallic silver.
Thanks I’ll probably just do the low beams for now. since the hids have lows and highs. I’ll still have 4 high beams. 4 hid on highs would be wicked though. You got me thinking now.
I made some progress. If the projector assembly was 1/4 longer it wouldn’t fit, without modifying the headlight bucket. I have it all the way into the headlight bucket as far as it will go. It’s kind of ugly, I’ll get better on the next one. I might use jb weld or Silicone to fill the gaps on...
I know this has been beat to death, but I’ve searched and haven’t really found what I’m looking for. Has anyone successfully installed real bi xenon hid projectors in their car? The projectors with the correct cut off, and high beam solenoid. Not the cheap reflector kind that blind traffic...
