    Floor pan DIY or not?

Did my body mounts on my 66 malibu by myself with a 2x4 and a jack. Plenty of pb blaster and elbow grease. Had a couple come loose from cage, the captured nut, but other than that not as bad as I thought it would be. Cars ride height looks better. Had a couple that were missing. Rotted away...

    Are you tired of ?

I am definitely an old school kinda guy. Maybe it's because I don't understand everything on the computer controlled stuff. I think the ls engines make great power and look cool though. Guess I need to do some more reading. Is there a way to run them without the computer stuff with a carb? On a...

If they are both open, can't be any compression on that particular cylinder when it should have it. Are you sure valve train geometry is correct? Pushrod length, rocker arms, lifters, etc. Both valves should never be open at the same time, unless some overlap I guess, if that's what your saying.

Sounds reasonable to me. Have been reading a little bit on oldsmobile forums. I know a little about them, but probably no where near your knowledge of them. Do you have good compression? One of the guys on olds forum said his pushrods were too long, leaving some of the valves open hence no...

I could have sworn olds 455 was 12 and 12...but you probably know better than me. Check the compression on it. Take it easy with furniture

Mr Eric...have you checked compression? Valves opening and closing ok? Correct me if I'm wrong, the timing marks on cam and crank gear on the 455 both go at 12 o'clock position? Keep trying man. You will get it.

Mr Eric...what is the engine doing? Is it turning over and not starting? Have you got fuel to carb? Tried starting fluid? Spark to plugs? Plugs firing? Timing right? Wires in correct order? 455 olds? I know these are probably some worn out questions and I'm sure you know what your doing...just...
