Alright, I've been doing a little work here and there. got some parts, seeing a big summit box on my porch was pretty awesome. especially when inside was a new carb and shifter! I got a new ignition, it was super easy to install. after watching a video I realized that already having the steering...
So between the last two weekends the lemange now runs. My neighbor and I got it started yesterday. It started right up and idled really nice. no misses, blurbs, ticking, or knocking. It does seem to be running really rich, and has a really bad hesitation off idle. I'm going to get a new carb for...
the switch panel I have has four switches so I was going to hook them up with a pattern. luckily I really only drive to work and home. my home is back in a flag lot and is safe, and I park in a gated parking lot at work.
the videos I watched, it didn't look all that hard just time consuming and...
That was the original plan. they are only 12 bucks. but I already had this cool little switch panel with three switches a master switch and a push button. I def wasn't going to pay to have it rekeyed. ive been watching videos on how to re tumble door locks and ignitions.
oh yeah and p.s your...
I don't have a garage, so the lamange has sat all winter. it is starting to get nicer out again. So it is time to get working on it.
does anyone have a wiring diagram for the ignition tumbler. I don't have keys so I am just going to do a couple switches and a push button. I already took out the...
Thank you. Luckily the rust that is there is all superficial. A little clean up then seal it. The head liner board came out almost totally whole. Just the corners where the visors were mounted it broke off. I'm not sure if I'm going to do another headliner. Being 6'4 I kinda like the extra room...
Hello everyone, the wether hasn't been very nice and not having a garage sucks. But it was nice today. I wasn't going to pull the carpet out because it wasn't that bad once cleaned a little. But I wanted to make sure it wasn't rusted out underneath. There is a little rust but not to bad. Should...
Thanks man, it was a factory four speed v6. But at some point in time someone swapped a 305 and th350 in there. Would have really liked the four speed. Maybe some day.
Got all the garbage out of it today. And there was a lot of garbage. Also vacuumed it out along with the engine bay. Then started pulling all the trim pieces off to remove the headliner. Couldn't find my torx bit so I was stuck at the upper seat belt mounts. Got all the other trim pieces off...
Well got the steering wheel pulled and lock plate removed. Then since we could turn it, we got it off the trailer finally. Now the real work can start.
Also my lady pulled the back seat out to crawl in the trunk and see if the keys were in there. Sadly they weren't, but I snapped this funny...
Thank you, I got a hell of a deal on them. My neighbor had them sitting under a tree. I got the 15x10 rears and 14x8 with 245/60r14 bfgs fronts for 200 bucks. They were in les schwab bags and still in really good condition.
Also I know I'm going to have to lift the rear a little. I found some...
So I work late, and don't have a garage so I haven't had time to work on the beast. But the good thing about working at a dealership. I had one of the techs mount my back tires today.
They are cheap for now. But they had decent reviews. And the mounting only cost me a hotdog and soda. Lol
Get the beast running. go to Disneyland for Christmas with the lady. then start with the 350 build, and suspension upgrades. oh and probably drive it all winter. no salt on roads and it might snow once maybe twice.
