Im trying to repair the factory wire harness for a 84 Buick 3.8 and I have an extra green wire. It comes out of the main harness at the same place as the distributor wire, alternator plug and a/c compressor plug. The a/c plug looks like it has been repaired. Any ideas on its destination? Any...
So I found this Engine for $250. It ran when pulled lol. We all know what that means right. I would like to keep this build between $2-3000. And do most of it myself. I just want something reliable that sounds good. I also have a rebuilt 200R-4 to put behind that I’m going to swap at the same...
So I found this guy selling a Buick 350. He said he would let it go for $2000. I’ll post everything that’s been done to it in the pics. Do you guys think this is a good deal? Thank you
I have an 84 Regal Limited 3.8. New alternator, battery and all the belts tight. All of my dummy lights work in the dash. my questions is with the key on should I have power to this red wire and is this a fuse able link? Any help is appreciated.
I tried searching all the forums for information about upgrading my 3 speed to a 2004R. So if this question has been covered I apologize How hard is it to put a 2004R in my 84 Regal that currently has the stock 3 speed?
I replaced all the guts in my distributor. Module, rotor, button and cap. I got a distributor out of a local salvage yard and used a couple of parts off of it because the wiring harness was in better shape. The problem I’m having is that it runs good at idle but when I put it in gear it starts...
I have a 1984 Buick Regal Limited with a 3.8. The issue I’m having is that I have to pump it about 10 times for it to start. It will start and idle just fine and then it will just start to hiccup and run choppy. It will run like the 125 hp beast that it is at high rpm but at idle and low rpm it...
I can pick up an 85 t-type engine with 55,000 miles on it. It was in a wreak 20 years ago and hasn’t ran since. I would love to put it and a 200r4 in my 84 regal. What do you guys think that motor is worth and how much would it take to get 300hp out of it? Here is my Buick. I have a aluminum...
I have an 84 Buick Regal with a 3.8 NA and I’m looking for a alternator bracket with A/C. I hope I’m posting this in the right place. Any help locating one would be greatly appreciated. I’ve called about 10 salvage yards and they are going to call me back lol I’m holding my breath. Thank you
I ran across this on car-part.com. I was looking for a transmission with overdrive because I drive a lot on the freeway and that 3 speed sucks. Plus I don’t see how I could do a gear change with out overdrive. Any input would help and what is a mult-fit case?
Everything that I have read about the th200 and th350 says that they use the same crossmember but when I asked JEGS they said this crossmember would not work in my car since it has a th200. Anybody have any real world info? Thanks
my blower motor would not work on high so I put a new switch in the dash and that fixed it. A month later it quits working so I replaced the relay and come to find out it was the fusable link. All the wiring seems like it is in good shape. Has anyone had this problem or have any ideas on what...
Does anybody have some good pics of their engine compartment? I have a 84 Regal with the 3.8 and AC. My smog pump is missing and the wiring is a disaster. I know there are schematics out there but my brain doesn’t work that way. Any help would be appreciated.
Anybody know where to get the clips that hold the trim that goes over the roof on a 84 Buick Regal Limited. They are about 2” wide and separate the body from the Landau vinyl roof. Thanks
I’ve been trying to figure out the lights on my instrument panel. The fuse is good. All the bulbs are good. I’m sure the light switch is good because it turns on and dims the courtesy lights. I finally found the culprit. The fuse is not getting any power and it’s the only one. I also found two...
My 84 Regal has a stock 3.6 and has no problem starting but it seems to idle at high RPMs. The engine wiring seems like a mess and the thermac plug is missing so if anybody has a pic of it that would be helpful. Other than that the car runs and drives pretty good. Thanks for the help.
I picked up this Regal from a salvage yard for $100 and have been working on it for a couple of years. It wasn’t too bad except for the paint as you can see. It’s definitely been a challenge since I’ve never worked on cars before and I don’t know what I’m doing lol so I pretty much wil be asking...
I pick up a 84 Regal from a salvage yard for $100. I’m in the process of getting it presentable. I have looked and searched through numerous threads so I’m not wasting anybody’s time but I have no luck. I’ve tried checking out the wiring diagrams but the other problem I have is that I’m color...
