I run two different 15x8 inch wheels with a 4 inch BS. One set is a 80's C3 Corvette and the other is a Basset Racing wheel. I run 275/60/15 in the rear and 235/60/15 and 255/60/15 in the front. Works great on my car. A little scrapping with the 255 fronts in tight turns.
Thanks is advance for any answers. The lines look the same and I was hoping some G-body guys might know if they are the same. I am look for a steel two to three inch cowl hood for my 1986 GP Aerocoupe. Thanks.
I am curious if anyone has used this handling package. It looks pretty straight forward and would be great with 2 inch drop spindles. Any information would be appreciated. Thanks.
The sun has had it's way with the top of the rear seat back in my 1986 Pontiac Grand Prix and it has began to crack and split in a couple areas. Does anyone know of a company that reproduces the cloth rear seat back? Thank you in advance for any leads.
I went to the local Discount Tire with an original C3 lug nut and match them up. The lug nut set worked great. Here is the information if anyone else wants to experiment with Corvette Aluminum wheels. Thanks for the responses. Mike
I found a set of C3 Corvette Aluminum wheels and decided to try them on my Grand Prix. The only issue is the lug nut thread pitch for the C3 wheels is 7/16 and I need the 12mm x 1.5 thread pitch lugs nuts. The C3 uses a special type lug nut with a flat washer and not the standard acorn style...
Thank you for the replies. I hope to get it done this week. It looks like the Valvoline synthetic will be the way to go with some additional limited slip additive if needed. Question is...can you add too much additive? Will this hurt the limited slip? Thanks again.
I am looking for some recommended rear end lubricants for the G80 Posi rear end? I have no idea when it was last changed so I want to service it before summer. I have a 1986 Pontiac Grand Prix. Thanks in advance.
I found a pair of Corvette Rally that are 15x10 with a 3.75 inch BS. They also have a 295/60/15 tire on them. I believe it might be a little too much for a 1986 Pontiac Grand Prix and will stick out beyond the fender well? Has anyone run a wheel and tire combination like this? Thanks.
