In an effort to attempt to have a happy medium i am looking for softer durometer polyurethane bushings.
Anyone know of any manufacturers who are making slughtly softer bushings for control arms
Long shot but not impossible, This is an attempt to locate my old Malibu. It was originally out of Saint Louis, then in the early 2000's it went to Chicago.
The last i heard it ''may'' have went to one of the Carolina's but i cannot confirm that. The lettering is now off the car but i think...
Call Mike Jones of Jones cams. He will grind you a custom cam for YOUR application. He has made cams for ford, GM, Nissan factory and prototype cams. Everything from asphalt to Indy to greyhound bus. He even cammed all of the qualifying Chryslers in NASCAR one year. He learned from his...
Today i sourced a set of blazer spindles that were already on a 87 monte carlo in the salvage yard along with the f-41 jounce bars and 1.250 solid sway bar.
Anyways, i took a stock 14'' wheel and tire off of a 78 malibu and a 86 buick regal. When I mated it to the hub by hand it lightly...
Scored an Explorer 4.10 trac-loc rear-end with 31 spline axles and disc brakes for a whopping $69 +$8 core and a set of 2wd s-10 spindles with calipers and brackets (for future cores) and unbent dust shields for $45. It was 62 degrees here today in the midwest. A great day to score in the...
I have absolutely no problem with the lower ride height. This can me changed with cutting just the right amount from a new set of moog springs. Intended doing this as needed anyway.

If it were a solid color malibu I would be all for the dog dish hubcaps. However with it being the 2-tone classic I think it would look slightly out of place.
Yes I am assuming the 605 steering box is what i have. Aluminum top cover Saginaw with o-ring versus the bolt on top cover found a year or two later. Original to the 78'
1978 Malibu, wanting to maintain the factory stock look for now on this car. This includes the stock 14'' wheels.
I am wanting to perform steering/suspension upgrades for this car over the winter. This includes the GN/monte carlo steering box, astro/jeep steering shaft, S-10 blazer spindles...
So are you saying if I plan on running 14'' or 15'' wheels it is best to run the tall lower ball-joint (p/n 101-10048) and a STOCK upper ball-joint to eliminate wheel interference?
NOTHING and i mean NOTHING topped the Bandit in the 1970's and early 1980's.
I never realized Smokey and the Bandit bested a little movie called STAR WARS in the box office back then.
My buddy had a Huffy 'Bandit' bicycle back in the day. He was king before we all went awol into serious...
