My stock shifter is pretty sloppy when shifting. Skip a gear if im not careful. So what is out there thats pretty close to plug and play so when i get on it, i wont make a mistake and break anything? Will be adding a shift kit soon
Sweet. Thanks for the info. I was thinking of using seats from a modern car. Between the current seats and the other original ones, theres always something trying to poke thru the fabric or stabs your *ss. Would rather have something else in it and save the original seats before they rip/get holes.
1) seat belts. Mine quit working properly. Can i use any seat belt from any car?

What set of headers would fit in a 1986 Brougham with a 403 (sb like 307) without getting beat into fitting. Dont need anything fancy, almost anything is better than whats on there. Mine looks like they have been patched and beat to fit.
Alright. Made some progress. Pulled the column out to work on it. Stuck the bearings in the freezer. They went in way easier. Seems like they cant go in any farther. Does these pics look right?
Just got back from vacation and back at this column. Ive heard putting the bearings in the freezer for an hour might make them shrink enough to sit in easier. What if i seperate the bearings and that plastic piece and then tap the bearing in with a socket or flat punch? Then put the plastic...
I had to use a small punch to knock them out. But want to make sure the new ones are correctly installed. Top and bottom are slightly different. And i dont know which way they should face
