Don't forget to check out www.scandc.com Thats where mine came from and couldn't be happier. Alum spindles from the Vette, shorter steering arms, plus the C5 brakes r nice for auto-X.
I agree, use the GN spec parts. Do not mess with the TV cable on a 200-4r. It is not the same as the older TH350. 200-4rs rely on correct adjustment of that cable to work properly, if not, trans damage WILL occur. Old TH350s could be unhooked with no damage.
Factory Lug Spacing on all 78-88 A/G Bodies is 5 on 4.75"
Factory wheels are 14x6 and 15x7. 14x6 BS is ???, 15x7 BS is 3.75"
14x6 wheels run a factory tire size of 195-70-14 which is a 24.8" OD tire.
15x7 wheels run a factory tire size of 215-65-15 which is a 26" OD tire.

Never thought about it. But a shop that does LeMans Chassis work built a Porsche bottom end with the VW Bus sitting on its frame. It was pretty wicked, especially the price.
Crate engine will be a decent amount, but shop around or get a junkyard engine and u should be OK. U should be able to pick up a junkyard 350 relatively cheap. Couple hundred and hear it run b4 u buy. Also check the local papers for an engine.
The Cutlass can be rebuilt, replaced, or a...
Brackets? Hmm, never seen those. Just mount them tothe little perch and swing towards the frame rails until they line up with an existing hole. I can get pics if it doesn't line up. Since mine is still in the air anyways.
I don't have pics right now, but the holes in the frame should be there for the lower triangulating braces. The underhood ones are the long version from fender to firewall? If so, the they bolt to the core support/fender at the outermost and rearmost bolt that hold the fender to the core...
I wouldn't worry about the full frame part. F bodies can always be reinforced or put cages and subframe connectors into them. Not a big deal. But yes, there is more aftermarket support for the F-Bodies. I understand your dilemna. If u have to ask, u may have made up your mind already.
Keep it. Keep digging around and u will find what u need. It may take longer, a little more, but not everybody has a LeMans, do they? U don't want to be another follower.
Why did u use cast pistons on a 10:1 CR forged bottom end engine? Just throw any nitrous at it with no extra fuel, it'll go.
Or sell it and pocket some money instead of blowing it up.
Thats a lot of questions.
An aftermarket pedal will bolt right in. U just need a longer 7/16" bolt that holds the brake and clutch pedal on. The clutch pedal will hang off the side of the bracket, its normal that way. Do yourself a favor and pull the bracket out to install the pedals. Its...
Thats the heat index u have I think, because thats right where we r sitting too. I was also in KY last weekend and it felt the same. In a couple of months it will all be gone.
I understand your concern. But yes GM only made 2 305s. 1 was the V8 used in cars and trucks (all Chevy Small Blocks), the other was an Industrial V6 used in Medium Duty Trucks in the early 70s.
Just make sure u have a 305. Easiest ways to identify the SBC is a rectangular shaped valve cover...
