Thanks man! My radiator is tagged with an "FJ", so it appears right to the car. I'm going to remove it soon in order to replace the timing cover seal, so I will look into my problems with it closer at that point. Much appreciated!
Thanks for the part numbers! Would you happen to know where to look for the GM part number on my radiator? I haven't removed it yet, so I'd be curious to know where it is identified. Sure would be nice if I could find it without tearing it all apart.
Thanks everyone for the input. When I was online looking at the alum rad pics, most all of the pics showed back, drivers side petcocks. Maybe their pics are just standard pics and not model specific, more than likely. I was looking at Champion, Cold Case, etc. The only correct petcock...
I own an 84' Hurst Olds and I have a question about the stock radiator, not knowing if the one I have in my car is the original or not. On the radiator I presently have in the car, the drain petcock is on the bottom of the radiator, passenger side. I am wanting to replace my radiator with a...
Sorry guys.... I’m dealing with my 84’ Hurst Olds. Also.... the fan switch high setting doesn’t work either. I was guessing it was the actual switch, but it sounds like it could be in the relay? I’ll fix that after i get the compressor to turn on.
Thanks for the diagram! This will hopefully allow my limited electrical skills to easily find my power issue! I’ll post my findings as soon as i get it figured out.
I am not a big electrical person, but do understand the very basics. With the ignition off and the 2 wire Pressure switch harness disconnected, i checked the harness for continuity and it had none. I also checked it for voltage and there was none. Then i started the car, turned on the AC and...
Please help me analyze this.... My car was taken off the computer before i bought it and is still running on the original block and transmission after mods made. The AC has never worked and now i want it to. Ive done the system conversion to R134a. Flushed condensor & evaporator, replaced accumulator...
Thanks for the input! Much appreciated. I'm suspecting it might be in the latch *ss'y. Something weird happened when the handle was raised and I thought I heard and felt a click down around the latch area. The builder was hoping he could figure it out without removing the door panel again...
In case the builder tries to tell me they cant do anything about it, i want to be prepared to call their bluff.....IF that were to happen. Besides....I’d personally like to know.
I recently had a deer jump in front of my 84' Hurst Olds and it did very minor damage, however I was lucky enough to score a total repaint from the claim. The car was taken to a well known local Hot Rod restoration/build shop where they disassembled the car in order to paint all of the body...
Just curious to know if anyone here has compared the Gbodyparts weatherstripping to the other 3 weatherstripping manufacturers (Steele which is really Metro Molded Parts. Soffseal, & Fairchild). I only ask because the Gbodyparts site has some verbiage on one of their T-Top seal part numbers...
I have an 84' Hurst Olds that recently had a minor run in with a deer. The car had it's original paint, stripes, and rock/stone guard on the bottoms of the fenders, doors, and quarter panels. I would like to know how difficult it is to remove the rock guard? Is it going to get hot and ball up...
Yeah....I'm not a Ford guy at all, but I have always loved the Cougars of that vintage. They guy next to the car is the primary builder. He's a co-owner of Hot-Rod Express in Blue Springs, MO. They do awesome work. We do favors for each other every now and then. We did a free photo shoot for...
I don't mind grief! I'm easy to get along with. Everyone has an opinion and we all have to realize and accept that. That's what keeps me a happy kind of guy :) If I could figure out how to insert a full sized JPG in this post, I would share the current price list in JPG format.
Here's a...
Somebody besides myself (Gary) found the info on my wheels and posted the link, not me. I thought I'd let anyone following the posts know that they're finally ready for people to order and I have current pricing availalbe. I'm not sure how you can think that these wheels aren't unique or that...
“Jesus Christ...
For that price, you could get ANY set of Forged/Billet wheels made...”
“Those are some nice wheels but like everyone is saying, for the price you could 2 or 3-piece wheels with custom offsets etc...”
Like I mentioned in the post....
If anyone is interested, send me an...
It's been a while since this post, but I have now scored a deal with Bonspeed to be the wheel manufacturer. They do AWESOME work and with their help, have brought the price of a finished wheel down AND opened the door to more sizing options. God bless them! If anyone is interested, send me an...
