What's in your stash (of car parts)?

I have two 8' tall by 8' wide by 2' deep shelving units built out of 2x4s and plywood packed to the brim with parts for all my cars, and I need to build another. '78 Regal: Eaton TruTrac LSD on the shelf for the 8.5" rear already under the car Aftermarket rear control arms, full set of drop...

waiting for the very strong opinions

I'm just going to assume it's not an actual GNX. Hopefully not even a real GN.

Thoughts on a LS1 complete drop in swap-any better bang for the buck?

I did touch on it for a research paper for my business communications class actually, but not nearly as in-depth as what is truly needed. It was just something for an easy grade. What I did find is that in my area, 1999-2003 5.3 truck engines can be had for as little as $650 (car-part.com)...

    Rear End Covers

I just wanted to point out one small flaw in the videos. Perhaps things have changed since my truck was built, but I don't see why it would- In my 1995 F-150, and this is verified by the Factory Service Manuals, that reluctor ring on the ring gear activates the sensor for the anti-lock brake...

    1979 Regal Horn Button

You might do well to post a pic of the wheel. If it's the one I think you're talking about, there's not many of them out there.

Now THAT is a beautiful car.

    18" wheels on my 87 442

Just remember backspacing is critical if you want to go really big. Nobody believed those wheels would fit, but they did. The car has been lowered since that pic, and they still fit fine.

anyone in the nebraska area... better take a look!!!

Was it gray? Wow, my memory really is color blind. (Seriously, I have trouble remembering colors) I had a really good score the other day too. Found a '92 Coupe DeVille with a near flawless black leather interior. Pulled the back seat out, test fitted it in the Regal across the isle, and...

Just talked to a friend that was at the North yard this morning, sounds like they're cleaning out the rows that those Cutlasses were in. Might wanna hurry.

1978-9 Cutlass Front Bumper?!? where can I find one?

They're everywhere for the '81 up cars, not so much for the '78-'80. Do you have a connection?

anyone in the nebraska area... better take a look!!!

I really didn't look that close after I saw the steering column was gone, and didn't pay much attention to the body panels since I was looking for Regal parts. I do know there was at least a couple each of Cutlass, Regal, Monte, and Grand Prix, and there was a four-door and a wagon Malibu at...

1978-9 Cutlass Front Bumper?!? where can I find one?

Yeah, there's some bumpers for my Regal on ebay right now in that price range. Way too much, especially when all I need is the plastic impact strips. My bumpers themselves are straight and clean.

1978-9 Cutlass Front Bumper?!? where can I find one?

There was a black '79 Cutlass in the North U-pullit this afternoon. The plastic impact strip was a little beaten up, but overall I think the bumpers were pretty straight. Black interior car too, but I think most of it was pretty much shot. Lots of other G-bodies out there today too.

anyone in the nebraska area... better take a look!!!

There was a Cutlass with a center console in the North U-pullit this afternoon. Center arm rest, shifter handle, and steering column were all missing though. There were a lot of G-bodies out there today, including a few Grand Prix if you're in the market for some of the F-41 bars. The third...

    Parts Identification List in Trunk

Not terribly concerned with my own car actually. It'd be more usefull for going through junkyards. It's easier to look at a code list than crawling in the mud to determine whether a vehicle has posi for example.

    Parts Identification List in Trunk

A question I have though: Where are the codes found on the earlier cars? My '78 does not have an RPO sticker under the deck lid.

Learn to work the paper catalogs. Be that guy that can find anything. If you find a part for someone...
