Just a question: how did you remove that pressure line? I'm in the process of replacing mine but the bolts on each end are really tight. Any tips on how I can get some more leverage in that tight space?

Starting a new chapter in the 87's life now. From 170k in August 09 to 209k in May 11, the engine is beginning to need more attention. A couple of hits in the parking lot (while I wasn't in the car) has left me with a bent in...
So I was hoping to buy a 350 from a 1993 Cadillac Fleetwood that I found at an auto-repairer's shop. Car was written off due to t-bone damage. When I first saw the car, I told the mechanic I was interested. The car wouldn't run and the dash has a digital odometer. He spends $80, puts on a...
changes in time and money = new plans.
350 in for the 305
maybe upgrade the heads and cam for more power
upgrade the rear differential
get my cruise control working (4 hour car rides to Toronto every 3-4 weeks)
swap grill to 84 Regal grill
upgrade exhaust system
lower the suspension (cut...

School + kid = not much to talk about in terms of the 87.
Almost finished with exams, now I am getting ready to buy a L05 out of a 93 Fleetwood. Hoping to place a carb on the originally tbi engine and drop it in.
I was just thinking: what kind of maintenance would electric cars need? If I want to save some money on my car I change my own oil and do other work to it. Won't these cars all need a professional for everything?
haha which reminds me: even on my mom's Cobalt, you need to reset the computer...
I didn't realize how dirty it was till now lol. I've given it about 2000km of highway driving over the last 2 weeks so its hard to keep up with the cleaning.
Its been a while...
School just started for me so I've been busy reading all day long. Anyways, I had fixed the pivot pin problem and now my tilt steering is solid. The car runs well but will need a complete change of fluids from front to back. The weather was good today so I thought I'd...
I know that it seems that with a hole that long, the pivot pin is structurally weakened. My solution to this, since I'm so good at it, is to break a screw off inside of the pin and leave it there. Maybe some 40 years down the road someone will try pulling it off and have as good of a time with...
Oh sorry. I guess it is an impact drill. I've always heard of them as hammer drills.
This is all getting very frustrating now. The tapping process isn't working very well. I'm getting very desperate now. Considering that this tilt assembly is used is so many different cars, I actually...
I'm actually pretty sure its a hammer drill. I've heard that it is best used on concrete but the cobalt drill bits have been strong enough to hold up against the vibrations.
I've done a lot of drilling today and now the plan is to tap the hole (re-thread) and use a larger bolt for a...
Yea, I want him to tack it. I actually forgot to ask him what type of welder he has though. Now that I think about it, if he only has oxy-ace. then I'm going to have to buy a new welder.
I have a little update though: Have you guys ever heard of a hammer drill? It gives the traditional...
I think that the level of reliability between domestic and foreign cars is closer than the level of quality - where the domestic cars have a bigger lack. And I think that GMs cars are ugly anyways. Its like the G8 really was too good to be true.
