Someone rear ended me and drove off but I just followed them, got the license plate, and called the cops. They eventually found her and ticketed her. These dudes are dangerous psychopaths.
I enjoy it too. Granted I'm studying elecrtrical engineering so I better haha.
Its crazy to me how much custom harnesses go for. If I had more ambition I might consider doing rework myself. To charge hundreds of dollars to do some cutting, wiring, soldering, etc is just crazy to me. No...
You'll want the thick gearsor a spacer and the thin 3 series gears.
As Turbolq4 said though it is not something to just slap together. You can do it on jack stands but to do it right you'll need a few tools (dial indicator, gear marking compound, etc) and the patience to take the gears in and...
That is neat. Probably wouldn't trust myself to do it and maybe only worth it if you plan to go in a sraight line. Also, routing the exhaust past the rear end looks like it would be real tight.
Are you using something like a MSD 6AL with the factory HEI distributor? You should be able to hook it up like it shows on page 13-15 of the link below. As it says, you want to connect your tach to the the grey output wire from the MSD CDI or connect the white wire to your factory tach wire...
Thansk for the write-up! Definitely considering this now. Not sure if this was mentioned and I missed it but what would be the ideal vehicle(s) to get transmissions out of for sbcs? Also, those transmissions controllers are ludicrously expensive for what they do. Seriously tempted to...
I thought it was a good test. My favorite part was either the bowl or the fact that the flipped air cleaner lid actually did pretty decent. However, they never tested a carb hat and large diameter piping to remote cone air filter setup. I'd be curious to see how it compared.
Guessing it is probably similar to the 7.5" in that there are gear "series". I believe 2.14 - 3.08 are series 2 and 3.23- up to at least 4.56 is series 3. These appear to agrew with that:

I think it should continue as I like to see everybody's cars together.
I think those who complain are just sore losers who don't represent the feelings of the rest of us who know that its just not worth caring that much about an internet forum competition.
Don't have really too many...
I feel the same about my '98 M3. Yours looks a lot nicer though. Also want to manual swap mine but probably wont get around to it and it shifts ok *knock on wood*.
I see you watch AvE's videos too! Guy is funny as hell! Ordered a ruler myself but it got lost in transit. Need to order it again. Keep your dick in a vise!
