    Black Bucket Seat Belt Receivers

Removed from an 80'(?) Cutlass. Not perfect but decent shape, black in color. $100 for the pair plus shipping, I don't have any other black seat belt parts unfortunately.

    BUILD THREAD New Garage

I'll start off by saying I wish I could go bigger, however much room you have is never enough, I'm sure that's true and have always found it to be the case, if not right away eventually. When we were house shopping in 2012/2013 having extra garage space was important(to me) but only part of the...

    81’ car with 87’ ECM ?

Wondering if anyone has an earlier computer car, 81’-82’ or maybe 83’ and for whatever reason converted to a later year ECM and drivetrain. Specifically going from a Buick 3.8 to a 305. The computer interchanges and I assumed everything would function, I realized my 81’ ALDL is slightly...

    Seat belt cover removal

Has anyone removed one of these successfully? I don’t see a designed way to pop it off, trying not to damage it along the way. Swapping the cover for one that isn’t rusty. Other option is I might be able to slide it off/on if I can get around or remove the lower seat belt floor plastic...

Wiper motor w/delay vs no delay

Does anyone know for sure if the wiper motor itself(not pump portion) is different or specific within the same year whether it has delay or not? The year in question is 81’, I’m looking to add delay wipers. I have the new dash delay switch, the wiring is just a green wire and when comparing it...

    Junkyard finds

Was a few hours away to buy some parts from someone parting out a Monte with 85ss/85gn earlier this spring and decided to see if any yards near there had g-bodies while in that area, one looked promising. On the phone they said they "have a couple" so we didn't expect much but were nearby...

    Remove Lock Cylinders

Can anyone tell from the pictures or experience in how to remove these lock cylinders? They are for the locking panels optional in wagons. I could tape off to paint but rather remove them, so need to do it safely.

Turbo Century - Free/Curb Alert? in San Fransisco, CA

Not sure how many are members on a couple Facebook groups that cover these cars but there is a guy posting about a Turbo Century in San Fran that was garaged since 1991 that had to be removed soon, well a month later it's apparently now parked on the street and needs to go immediately. Believe...

    Rear speakers/stock location

Wondering what everyone has done, if anything besides original/stock speakers, in the back of their wagons in the stock location(above wheelwells if so equipped). The area seems pretty shallow to fit much and the factory speakers are "skinny" to fit that area it seems. Going from zero speakers...

    Power Tail Gate - Weak?

I added the power tail gate option to my wagon, wired/hooked up just like the factory did using it from a donor 82' Malibu wagon. The solenoid clicks and most times will pop the glass open, but never the tail gate itself. Sometimes not enough oomph to get the glass. Is this common? I have...

    Wagon rear springs/coils

I'm planning on replacing the rear springs/shocks on my wagon soon in the first step (ok, easiest step compared to the front) in upgrading the suspension and getting the stance I prefer. I have had Eibachs pro-kit on hand waiting for this but reading up on it sounds like it might drop the rear...

1981 Pontiac Grand LeMans Safari Wagon

About a year ago I purchased this so I figured this might be a good place to post a build thread as I go along. A little over a year ago on a Facebook g-body group someone posted it for sale in CA. I wasn't looking for another car, even a short term project but started digging wagons in recent...

    Tailgate area roof rust issue

I acquired a wagon rear spoiler to put on mine, got it painted and as I removed the non spoiler hinges and pulled back the weatherstripping was met with a surprise, some good rust action and pitting right behind the weatherstripping between each hinge location. From the hinges outward there is...

    Trunk Lock - Re-Key?

On both of my Monte's the trunk locks were replaced years ago. I'm slowly replacing the lock covers/caps/inserts on my SS with nice new correct black ones, not touch up painted/black or scratched up ones. Did the driver door, now to the trunk. I also want to re-key the lock so it matches the...

    Green Interior (81'+)

Any 81'+ Grand Prix's or Bonneville/LeMans here have a green interior? I came across a GP for some parts (console/buckets/column) and thought it was brown/beige like my 81' but once there in person found it's a green/green (almost beige, but a tint of green). 81' they must of started the two...

    Dent Pulling Advice

On my wagon the driver side mirror must of got hit and pushed in the door, before my ownership and maybe years ago. I’m in the middle of replacing the mirror and thought I’d try to pull/pop it back, I know it won’t be perfect but hoping to make it a little better. I hit a punch several whacks...

    Power vent windows - Motors?

For those lucky enough to have power vent windows in their wagons, are there issues with the motors going out or any reliability issues? Also wondering how serviceable they are if there are problems, like are there replacement motors readily available, etc. Planning to convert my wagon at some...

    Seat Upholstery Amount

I'm in the planning stages of recovering a set of bucket seats and will probably do the rear seats too even though the material I'm getting is supposed to be match the original that the rears are in, 40 years of wear might stand out. Does anyone know how many yards it takes to recover a set of...

Matching touch up paint - spray can

Anyone have a good web site that mixes correct color coded paint in an aerosol can? I found a couple online but thought I'd ask. Could try for a local place too, but admit getting used to the click/buy/deliver to your door shopping has appeal.

    80' vs 81' TCC Wiring/Plug Differences

I'm getting ready to swapping in a 80' TH-200C trans into my 81' and they are the same trans but when cleaning up the 80' unit and comparing, I realized the wiring plug is different. Further reading has led me to believe 80' was the first year for the TCC wiring and it was vacuum controlled...
