According to my Master Parts Catalogue, the hood rear mldg for the 78-80 "G" body (Grand Prix) is #549205. Hope this helps!

I also have a 76' 400 out of a trans am in my 78' Grand Am. I still have the TH350 but the 2:29 gears out for 3:08.

According to my Master Parts Catalogue, the I/P stands for "Instrumental Panel". Now , here is where it gets funny...........for 1978 the I/P pad #10006230 shows it fits AF-AG...........which means Grand LeMans and Grand Am............no listing for standard LeMans AD. For 1979, I/P pad...

In case you are not familiar with the Pontiacs, the 78-81 Grand Lemans has the same moulding. That may make it a little easier to find............maybe?
