Don,
Yes, a 1980 from TX, already has a 71 400, GN 3.42 rear, complete Hotchkiss suspension, new paint, no rust, new interior. I have a few personalization touches for it, but I'm looking forward to having one that is already done.
Wow Don,
I haven't been hanging out here as often since I sold my G-body (one is in the near future though). I am glad and thankful you weren't hurt. Also glad to see you are in the process of getting her back together.

I've seen both, even have them saved somewhere (can't find them right now), I've been following this car for years, back when it was still a stock 301 with dead paint.
Hello all, I figured I'd post this here in General Discussion as well as under Pontiac Grand Prix / Grand Am / Lemans Bonneville.
Thanks to Iowapub, I have the seller's email. I emailed him and know the car stayed in the Houston TX area but he couldn't remember the buyer's name. I'd be happy to...

Sounds like a very unusual color combination. Since visual impression is a lot of what anyone can go on, please post some photos as soon as you can, and I'm sure you'll get plenty of answers.

Since, from what I am reading, Conrad is not making these anymore? Ran across this doing a search, anyone have any experience with them?

Cool! I'm glad it didn't take much in the way of steady hands and good hand-eye coordination, at my age, I'm seriously lacking in both those departments. As a tradeoff, I guess with age comes patience and the will to 'do it myself', LoL.

The Carbon Fiber looks good too, I think it depends on the interior color, gauges, etc.
I used an X-Acto # 11 blade. Angle it about 45 degrees to the opening, so you are just skimming the edge of it, and gently run it around the circumference. Making 4 separate pieces may have been more work...
It's been on the bezel and in the car for about 6-8 months, no signs of it coming loose anywhere so far. BTW, that pic is what I used for inspiration too.
Thanks for the compliment. I trimmed the 4 pieces first, then I used a sharp X-Acto knife, gently pushed through the material, and slowly...
Yes, mine is actually 4 separate pieces, but cut from a single piece, that way, the pattern is consistent. I bought it off eBay, but the company had ALL kinds of patterns and colors. I thought about carbon fiber myself, but decided to make it look like the T/A dash. I cut the pieces, then put...
Here's a couple of photos after I put the 5/16" spacers on and one of the contact between the tie rod and wheel. I'd love to hear opinions, pro or con, about the look of the powder-coating, and the look of the car ( I like it, but won't be offended if you don't). There is a good chance the car...
The silver on mine was tired, so I bought some engine-turned (like used on Trans Ams) adhesive material off eBay and put it over the silver. I think it looks pretty good. I will post some photos this weekend, been so busy I haven't had time to download the ones in my camera.

I have the correct snowflake lugs for the wheels, but with the 5/16" spacers, I needed a mag style shank to reach deeper into the wheels, to make up what I lost with the spacers.
-Dave
OK, figured out how to fix the problem of the studs being too short with spacers. I found that mag wheel lugnuts (3/4" shank) make up the difference and fit. I put 5/16" spacers on and the lugnuts thread down in the wheel and give me almost exactly the same amount of thread depth as the stock...
