Yeah I was thinking we could head up early and meet at a diner or Micky D's or whatever and BS then head over. Kind of a family night out. Not really "about" the cars but "with" the cars.

Yeah I keep getting different answers? When I replaced the evap it was mounted with a small hose clamp on the inlet pipe. Someone on ECC told me that was wrong and it should be on the outlet.
Then I asked on AC forums and was told it should be on inlet as per the 1978 Mitchell AC repair...

Need some help. 78 El camino. Changed out the evap, accumulator, hoses, compressor (A6) etc. Put the sensing bulb from the cycling switch back on the inlet (orifice tube) pipe of the evap. Cycling switch didn't work so I replaced it with new Factory Air swich. But I was told it should...

The hair dryer/heat gun will work for the tape stripe. You can clean the left over glue with mineral spirits or a degreaser/wax remover. Mineral spirits works just about as good and is much cheaper.
The painted ones will be a bit tougher. You could try masking tape over the stripe and then yank...
Just typed 78-80 cutlass cowl induction hood into bing and got about 6 places selling a 2" fiberglass hood and one had a 9".
