    No ideas about wheels

I am not a fan of unilug wheels. They also mention spacers for the front, I don't like that either. I suspect he didn't measure well enough or assumed they'd fit and found out wrong. Don't buy another person's mistake.

It may be a gas , But are you putting yourself at risk ?

I try to use gloves as much as possible. I have always tried to avoid contact with chemicals as much as possible. I read all the cans of everything I use and they always have warnings on them about this and that have been to known to cause cancer... There have been times when my hands and...

    Turbo 231

The N/A Buick V6 is not like the turbo V6. The crank, rods and pistons are different so you'd have to change all that. There is the matter of air & fuel, EFI is best so an 86/87 intercooled GN motor would be the way to go but also most expensive. You could use a hot air engine and add an...

Where to put he PCV valve Buick 350.

No, a grommet goes into the valve cover and a 90 degree nipple is inserted into the grommet. The hose is then pushed onto the nipple and the other end goes into the back of the breather that goes into the air cleaner. Since I have a Buick v6 the setup should be similar to a buick 350 if not...

Where to put he PCV valve Buick 350.

Negative Ghostrider. The pcv valve goes into the intake and on my V6, the hose from the PCV valve goes to front of the carburetor. The other side of this system is a short piece of hose that connects a valve cover (passenger side for me) to a breather filter in the air cleaner.

    Sbc swap

Check the carburetor, you mentioned once the engine is warmed up you don't notice it. The choke may need adjusting, make sure it's wired up and working.

    Help with radiator

That was going to be my suggestion. Just trim them. The perfect fit is just a trim away with a knife or scissors. You bought them, might as well use them.

oops, made my ride too firm. what should i do?

That "cushy" ride some people like so much is just a worn out suspension. I haven't replaced the body bushings but I've added every piece of factory bracing I can find, better springs, Bilstein and KYB shocks, a rear sway bar, poly urethane bushings from PST and I like the stiffer ride. It's...

    Need Brake Help

If the brake light is on, one side of the system is not working. The light comes on when the pressure is uneven on both sides, usually due to fluid loss or too much air in the system. My suggestion is to rebleed the system. You probably made a goof in the process, it happens. Also, there is...

    Is Underhood Insulation Necessary?

I would replace it with something like Dynamat. Engines get hot and I'm sure any heat going straight to the sheet metal isn't going to help the longevity of the paint. It will help keep things quiet and keep the hood cooler, use Dynamat or something like it. I never liked the original...

    Missing main cap bolt.

get a punch or an awl and mark them NOW. Even dimples are better than nothing to tell which cap goes where. This isn't like rocker arms where you can change their position and get away with it. It will mean the difference between a running engine and a car you won't be able to drive. It...

    Adjusting The Booster Pushrod

I've never heard of such a thing. I've owned my g-body for 20+ years and have never had to do that once. You said the brakes work, do they work completely? If so, check your drum brakes and adjust them. They may need adjusting and possibly could improve the pedal feel. There's a slot in...

Odd Couple: 98-02 Camaro 7.625 Diff into 78-81 G-body Axle

You should be able to use a g-body install kit. All you're doing is changing the carrier, maybe the gears. Changing the carrier wouldn't change the install kit you need. That's about it, not much to it really.

Odd Couple: 98-02 Camaro 7.625 Diff into 78-81 G-body Axle

You can use the Torsen units out of 98-02 f-bodies and 98-up blazers. You will need to use GN 8.5" axles because of the higher spline count. I was given this information courtesy of the Turbo Buick forum. I've been there for over 10 years and trust them. I plan on getting a Torsen since I...

    Bonnewagon..quadrajet question

I like how he tuned the carb so you wouldn't use as much gas driving around town. I'd call it that a favor. He tuned it so it would be efficient while cruising but still fun at WOT. That's the best of both worlds for a daily driver. You could change to a thinner primary rod by one step down...

    how to modernize car wiring

So the entire harness to the back is like this? Guess I'll start with that first, along with the addition of a third brake light and other upgrades. A trunk light would be nice too.
