i called a transmission shop after i posted here, and i was advised to try to pry it off, and it worked. I put the converter on again and mated it to the engine in 5 minutes. Thanks anyway for the speedy replies, and i think ill stay away from B&M converters too.

im in the middle of doing a motor swap, and im trying to mate my trans (TH350) to my engine (350), but it seems that the torque converter isnt seated all the way on the input shaft. So i take a look at the transmission and figure that i should just take the converter off and put it back on...

I just dropped the new 350 in my GP, and now im trying to start it. The thing is that i am getting no spark. I've tried two coils and I've re-installed the distributor three times. I don't have much experience with ignition timing yet, so im kind of at a loss. Anybody have any suggestions?

I just pulled the motor out of my 85 Grand Prix, and the starter looks similar to a sbc starter. Does anybody know if i can use it on my 350?

Im having a problem with my truck, it seems that something will periodically clog the fuel line/tank and stall the engine. Ive cleaned the tank out, and changed the fuel pump but im having the same type of problem. Ive been told that its because there isnt a "relief" in the gas tank, so no air...

The motor came out of a 78 pick-up, and it's been bored .040 over.

The heads and pistons are stock, the cam has a little more lift on it (485 int/ex). The car will see the track every once and a while, but it's mainly a daily driver.

how can you drive that on the street with 4.56 gears? i'd end up getting 6mpg!

i found out last week that the cobra replica wheels i liked so much are now made with a chevy bolt pattern, and sell for $650 no less!!!!!! they even come with chevy center caps, so i will more than likely buy a set for the GP.
