I can't believe the head gasket blew at only 60M, My 83 H/O has 325M with the original, but I've replaced the intake gaskets three times, and replaced timing chain with a Cloyes dbl roller, and my 86 442 had 265M with original head gaskets, but intake gasket replaced twice, as well replaced...

Years ago when the Intake gasket let go at 90M I added a Cloyes dbl roller and new cam/lifters in my '83, and at 325M still no issue, and pops right off. But Rollmaster CS7041 timing set is the best. Otherwise go with Cloyes True Double Roller 9-3513X9.

Rear seal probably shot too. Replace the rope one with an AMC rear seal. Fel-pro part number BS40612, and run the Diesel oil pan gaskets

AC Delco, or NGK as well. What compression you running? Points, HEI, or MSD Ignition?

no the 83-84 Hurst middle is supposed to be silver, 85-87 442's middle were gold
