you should change the plugs because they are not firing as hot now even tho you wire wheeled them. and you could have bad valve guides on that head, messed up fuel distribution or any number of other things. I would get a new set and keep checking them. make note on what kind of build up it is...
might be better off trying to source an 8.5 out of a monte ss with a posi unit already in it. but at the end of the day its still 10 bolt. if possible maybe wait and put a 9" ford in or another stronger axle 12 bolt maybe?
don't the 4th gen Camaros' have strut front suspension? if they do then no they wont work. and if not... they might be a little light and I think the spring diameter would be wrong. if memory serves me correct the g body's have a 5 1/2" diameter front spring. all f bodys ( non strut cars) I...
Lol just takes practice. My grinding skills are top notch from when I was learning. Im just super stoked I can weld aluminum without haveing to buy another machine
So being only 22 my welding experience of 7 years may not sound super impressive but I have competed at the state and national levels So I know my way around the art. So.. In my short welding years I have always been told DC tig welding of aluminum is impossible.... Well it ISNT!!!. im...
I was talking with my dad and he seemed to think u could have a bad valve guide. Running e85 it washes the oil off the valve stem as it come through the intake and out the exhaust ( obviously not as much on the exhaust side to to burnt fuel) but if the valve isnt sitting on the seat correctly u...
Interesting that is would start now. Are all of your grounds good for the batter, body, and msd box? Its going to end up being something simple and stupid. Maybe cracked porcelain on a plug
I totally missed the e85 thing. Are u sure your running the right heat range of spark plug? And im going to politely dissagree on the whole opening the gap and making more "heat" that may work fine on an 9:1 motor but in my expierience on bigger compression and msd systems the gap always gets...
try the coil. They can work wheb cold and stop working when hot. Since you are running higher compressio. It might be just starting to fail and undervolting.
Only.other thing I could guess is to close your plug gap to .030" or .025" the higher compression could be "blowing it out" and...
Thats a killer lookin regal. Checked out your website and stuff looks great. I may be in the market for carbon fiber doors for my 78 regal in the near future
Valid point. I was just going off of the ratings I have read because I havent had any experience with the t56. A six speed would also be cooler. And a dog box 6 speed would be coolest. Thanks for the input
I considered the t56, the only thing that steered me away was the torque rating is only 450 lbfts I will be putting sticky tires in it from time to time and I would hate to break it and go through this again. The t56 magnum is rated for way more then what I make but its pretty spendy
gforce has...
So its been a while since.l posted anything (missed you guys p.s. We need a Portland Oregon meet) and I have since then (last spring) build a 650HP 406ci sbc for my regal and we drag raced it a little last summer. Since its a 14:1 engine its not really street driveable (atleast not very far) so...
I would agree with all of you on the 4 door things. It just wouldnt be the same. on a slightly different topic. Since all the Camaro guys are swapping to the ls series v8s a swap for that new GM tt v6 in a gn or a cloned one would be pretty sweet
