When Do You Park It For Winter

Some dumbass kid took the heater box out of my car bout 10 years ago, so, it goes into hibernation basically early October, can't see with a foggy windshield, plates stay on it til November 1st in case of a random perfect day.

    Any unique engine swaps?

I've debated a 4.0 Jeep I6 for my malibu, but can't justify the swap yet. The Olds 350 I put in it runs too well to disturb.

    Quadrajet Choke Issues

Could be as simple as the counter weight sticking ever so slightly too.

Drilling holes to get to cage bolts?

I just used a holesaw for the 4 that are located in the trunk. Bolts broke off so I had no choice but to put access holes to remove the old. Save the cut outs, then weld back in when done, east work.

    Chambered exhaust

I remember those, an old manager of mine had them on his vette years ago (had a crate 350 or 383). It wasn't really that loud (at normal rpm), but it was kinda blatty, and lacked a "nice" tone to accompany the noise they made. Made me think I was hearing some old pos with an 1 7/8 straight pipe...

    Grandpa Car: 1979 Cutlass Thread

Could be an f body or full size car. On a side note, if you find an 8.5 rear end, you can use the stock driveshaft from certain f body cars (mid 70's ish) and not have to have one custom made to use the long tail 350 in the cutlass 8) . (that's what's in my Malibu, long tail thm350, 8.5 rear...

Bi+C# Thread for the nit-picky old men

If you really want to get picky, the proper abbreviation is "THM" (Ok that was more along the lines of ball busting  )

Bi+C# Thread for the nit-picky old men

Damnit, I had to go back and look too, yes I already mentioned it, but that was when I was at my old job. New job, same scenario. Why is it acceptable to show up late for work on a regular basis? I had a boss long ago, that lectured a coworker of mine who showed up 5 minutes late once, the...

    1936 Ford Pickup Refresh

lol, the pacer was quite the interesting unit for its era. Funny though, much of amc's suspension designs, were ford based.

Have you ever looked at the most recent crown vic set ups? They are pretty sweet to say the least.

    Jeepsters please help

I've killed three of them but that was due to severe torture in 4lo, WOT, overheated, at an extended period of time, with a a heavy load (deep snow, and deep mud) allowing them to slip in and out of lock up (all of which, still worked 1-4, just slipped in lock up). Under normal circumstances...

    Jeepsters please help

The AW4 used in these is pretty bullet proof, for example the one in mine (88), became water logged, then froze, and ceased to function. I took an air hose to it (thawed out, lol), Blew out the lines, blasted air back through the trans, got all the pepto bismol looking fluid out, filled it back...

Kid needs to start hitting the books

Sadly we are moving more into a state of "Idiocracy" every year. I'm not one to be a grammar or spelling nazi as I do make my own mistakes, but every time a certain co worker brings me up a repair order for part price/availability I want to break out the red pen and rip him a new one. Basic...

"Turn Key" Is Not An Option

That it has, I regret I don't have lots of spare time to keep up with all the interweb rings since my new job. The projects are still rolling though, little by little anyway. Between helping my dad expanding the barn (no pics) to building a shifter for the 4wd system on the red eagle, rebuilding...

    81 Malibu rebuild

Love the look of the tucked factory bumpers, how they should've been from the factory. Looks sinister 8) .
