    HOT ROD mag: G-bodies=beaters

I'll say this. When I ran out of room for my Cutlass Cruiser I tried to get rid of it. I was being cheap about it but no takers from serious folks. I ended up getting $350 from the junkyard. It was a running car and had all the interior parts. Right now I can't even give away a really nice...

Oldsmobile parts book - $25 and free shipping

Tried to sell this on ebay a few times but no bites. http://www.ebay.com/itm/121290452157 I'll take $25 for it + shipping if interested. Shipping will be in a large flat rate USPS priority mail box so you can look up shipping from NC. If $25 is too much make an offer. I think I paid $80...

    Floor Jack Brand Advice?

I bought mine from Big Lots. It's not the smoothest acting jack but it works well enough for the amount that I use it.

RESOURCE Hardware / Component Photo Reference Library

Intersting. I thought about doing the same type of thing for a different class of cars that I used to be into but never got too far. Instead of a thread full of random pictures I recommend looking into some sort of free web hosting account where you can create a website with an index or table...

    Metalshop- My First Braze

Cool. I would like to learn to braze but I don't know what I would need it for. I have a MIG welder that does pretty much all I need. What are you planning on brazing? I know for some things like bronze or dissimilar metals it is the way to go.

    Hesitates to start

What do you consider hesitation. Mine never starts the first try after sitting awhile. Always starts the second try, though.

Probably going to sell my wagon

My dad passed and I inherited his pickup. I had been using my wagon as a truck but I no longer have room for it nor need it. Thinking about selling it and kind of wondering how much to ask for it. Here's the rundown: 79 Cutlass Cruiser Brougham. Not sure why it is a Brougham since...

Wanted: Cutlass Cruiser Driver upper doorpanel

Oh you have both sides? That sounds good. Got a pic of the other side? If it looks as good as this one it's a deal. Shoot me a pM with your info.

Wanted: Cutlass Cruiser Driver upper doorpanel

Hmm. Looks good but mine is all vinyl so it doesn't quite match. It could work for the time being, though. How much do you want for it?

Wanted: Cutlass Cruiser Driver upper doorpanel

I'm not sure what the odds are of finding this but I am looking for a driver's side upper door panel for a 79 Cutlass Cruiser. I'd be willing to entertain other years if it matches the passenger side I have or if you have a set. Color not really important since I will dye it but red is what...

    Cut off Exhaust

I had to replace the exhaust on my Olds 260 awhile back and I drove it around once without the crossover tube to see what it sounded like. It was pretty funny. Sounded like a hot rod. I got all kind of strange looks going down the highway considering what my wagon looks like. WAY too loud...

    dash

I bet the pieces you painted were contaminated with years of ArmorAll and stuff like that. You have to clean off all of that. I prepped my pieces with lacquer thinner until nothing was showing up on my paper towel.

    turn signal lever question?

I have a cruise control lever in my non-cruise control car so I would assume you could use a non-cruise control lever in a cruise control car.

    dash

I painted a light blue steering wheel and horn cover red using SEM paint and it hasn't worn a bit. That stuff is amazing. I wouldn't hesitate painting other interior parts with it.

    Ignition stuck

Mine did that a couple of times when it sat in the hot sun for awhile. It was OK when it cooled down. I replaced the lock cylinder which seems to have fixed it. I couldn't see anything wrong with the old one, though.

Help needed with newer A/C comp.

I met this guy once and we were talking about cars. He had a Jetta or something and he said it was a good car except that the a/c compressor kept failing and he had to replace them. I asked what he used to draw a vacuum and he didn't know what I was talking about. He said he just hooked up...

Some praise for the wagon and the 260

I recently needed to get some used maple hardwood flooring from the Habitat from Humanity restore. I literally filled the back of my wagon up with the back seat down all the way to the ceiling. The weight of the wood was estimated at 1100 pounds. Although I could tell there was some weight...

    Wagon fuel tank sending unit?

I should probably do something about mine. It sort of works. It stays pegged at full for a few days. The goes from full to empty in about a day.
