well 4x10's r the easiest replacement yes but you can put 6x9's on the back dash from inside the car. i done this to mine first monte backin the day. take the bracket that holds the 4x10 and get a piece of clothes-hanger and extend the bracket. on the other hand, i do a lot of stereos in cars...

4.88's can be used in the 1/4 mile easily. we have 4.56's and a 28" tire and is only turning 6200 rpms thru the traps can turn 7200 easily.

no i got a 28" tire on it. the idea for drag racing is to be at ur peak when u go thru the traps. anything else is just not getting it done. its easier on the motor not to do that but thats why u build a car to run that way.

thanks thats right about the gearing. gas mileage is the least of my worries. u have to give to get if u know what i mean. it could actually stand about a 5.00 gear cause it only turns about 5200 through the 1/4 mile traps and can rev easily 7200.
