I personally love the factory 2-tone G-body's. Particularly the 84-85 Monte Carlo base coupes that had the 2-tone that covered the Hood, roof/landau roof area. Let's see them please!
Flowmaster Super 44.Both of my Monte Carlo's started life as 4.3 cars. I know them well. I think the Flowmaster gives that engine it's best chance to sound good. The Super 40 is great also.
Here's a couple of clips of expected sounds.
So slamming the door didn't help but I tapped the cats with a rubber mallet and I'm fairly certain it's the drivers side cat. You can hear similar rattling. I'm going to inspect the flexplate one more time tomorrow to rule that out for sure.
'85 Monte
SBC, 200r4 with column shift.
It just started one day. Goes away occasionally but has gotten worse. I thought it was the column shift link bar because it touches the headers but I can use a screwdriver to move the shift link away from the headers and it still does it. Does it while...
I agree on the quality point. Also at least they're trying. I think our G-bodies are at least getting the respect and attention they deserve. Also agree on Mike's Monte's.
All lights should aim slightly to the right and slightly down so we're not all blinding each other. A lot of my cruising is done on long, single lane, semi-rural roads so I definitely don't want to punish the oncoming drivers. Studies show drivers will tend to drift into excessively bright light.
I know my sealed beams are ancient do they probably weren't working near 100% capability, but I live in a semi-rural suburb where dear at dusk are common. I need better vision, especially competing against these crazy new cars.
Yeah I'm not a big fan of the ridiculous brightness of LED headlights. Especially that horizontal beam they create. You go over bumps and it's like you're just blinding everybody with these flashes. Although some of the news designs are better and pretty cool looking.
